my wii u seems to have got stuck while installing the update for assasins creed 3 the arrow keeps spinning but its not going further than under 1 min should i unplug it or leave it, its already been 40 minutes

Umm doesn't unplugging during an update cause it to brick? I wouldn't if I were you

you might have just bricked your system if you did that, I remember when I had to do that update, I yelled at my sisters to not turn off the Wii U.

Only a system update would brick the WiiU, because unplugging it would interfere with the system while it is changing files required for it to function.

Unplugging during an update for a game would at worst corrupt the save file, or if the game was downloaded, corrupt that and require it be redownloaded.

Ya, I'm pretty sure Nintendo took extra precaution to make sure your console doesn't break over an accident. They probably have a torture chamber to test it, for setting it on fire, deadly electric shocks, unplugging it's life support(during update), drowning it, hitting it with various weapons, etc... I'm sure your Wii U will be fine. It probably makes a restore point like PC if it does mess up.

yeah it was fine guys, when i started ac3 again it said there was a problem with software, i deleted the update from the hard drive and it downloaded and updated again straight away and now works fine. thanks anyway tho guys i was really worried when it locked up.
