I think the Gamecube was one of my favorite consoles, but the Wii U would not do the games justice as it lacks the analog shoulder buttons. The other problem is that half of what made the console so special was the games that wouldn't make it to the Virtual Console. We would never see VC releases of gems like: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Rouge Squadron II, Viewtiful Joe, Resident Evil 4, Beyond Good & Evil, Tony Hawks Pro Skater, Gun, Incredible Hulk, Spiderman 2, X-Men Legends, Jedi Knight 2, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, and Tales of Symphonia.
Can't wait until the nx comes out so nintendo can forget the wii u and then wii u Homebrew channel can come out.
Then you can play any game up to the wii and ds on it (really excited for the gc and ds games)
Man playing all my favorate games (other than Platform racing 2 and I Wana Be The Guy The Movie The Game)on 1 console thats awesome. Hopefully Minecraft comes out on the Wii U by then too.
HD remaster of GameCube games would be a cheap way to support WiiU after Nintendo shifts meaningful support to nx (which is pretty much has now) so I doubt
I always found odd that GameCube games were absent even though Revolution and Cafe games were available.
Then again, there is probably a problem (or just high difficulty) in getting the hardware to recognise the GameCube games.
Yeah, GameCube, Wii and Wii U are based on the same hardware. Probably it's because of what Darkhynt said, but it was stupid that Nintendo didn't include analogue triggers on Wii U anyway, not even the pro controller has them.
I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!

@icedude545: That would be necessary only with Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Bros. Otherwise, were there any games that used the analogue features of the L and R buttons?
@icedude545: If Nintendo- would add GameCube games to the mix, Ninendo- would, most likely and logically, release support of the GameCube controller. The thing is that Nintendo- would very likely have to release support to THE ENTIRE ESHOP, not just GameCube games.
(PS: ...not related, but is your avatar of a Groudon with a beard?)

F-Zero GX. I don't remember any others.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
