I don't necessarily mean the Zelda being announced since I doubt it will be a Four Swords, but I'm wondering if there are many people who want to see a new Four Swords game on the Wii U. I enjoyed playing Four Swords/Anniversary edition with friends a lot as well as Four Swords Adventures and I think that it would work well with the Wii U. At the very least, I would like to see FSA come to the Wii U Virtual Console since I never owned a GameCube and I would gladly buy it if it came out on Wii U. It could be like how Monster Hunter 3U works where you can use a 3DS for local multiplayer and the Gamepad/3DS screens would show you the inside of buildings and caves.
I dunno. Maybe. I haven't touched Four Swords Anniversary Edition since the week I downloaded it, but that's because I don't have any friends with the game.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
It isn't one of my favourites either(single player isn't that great for four swords at least), but multiplayer was really fun for me and I think it would be a lot simpler with only needing a 3DS for multiplayer so more people could experience it. And(though this may be a stretch) with the Wii U, I suppose online multiplayer could work too since everyone would have their own screen.
I would love another, and don't rule it out. Until E3, we know next to nothing about the new Zelda title coming to Wii U. What we DO know is that back in January of 2013, they stated that they wanted to challenge the old given that you had to play by yourself, so a Four Swords title may not be quite so far-fetched as many people think. Remember, with this game, it seems like they want to make a game that challenges all the things you thought were necessary to have a Zelda game, so why should a Four Swords title be top-down? Why should you only control one character? Maybe they're also planning on announcing multiple gamepads at E3 with a promise to patch Mario Kart 8 to run up to 8 players, when they have the technology out.
That said, I'm just throwing darts at a wall and hoping there's a target on it, somewhere. There's no guarantee (or even any reason to believe) that anything I just said has even been considered by the Nintendo teams, let alone green lit for a game.
More to the topic, itself, I'd love a new Four Swords. Especially if done right.
I'd love one in 3D. It'd be like a fancier version of Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon's Scarescraper, except with swords and weapons instead of vaccuum cleaners...
@UGXwolf@CM20 A 3D Four Swords does sound interesting, I remember seeing a YouTube video of 4 people playing through an emulated Ocarina of Time and they were four different Links(but I think they could only use the first player's screen).
