I always take the disc out cause I typically play digital games and for some reason it'll just spin the disc and make tons of noise.

I haven't noticed that. Maybe I should check

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Always take it out...

I actually unplug my wii u - put it into the cover that it came with and put it into a drawer

huh I leave the disk in. I don't think I've heard it spin the disk... but i don't have any retail games that are digital.

Personally, I always leave the disc in if I have unfinished business and plan on playing the same game next time.

Why is it particularly important to remove the disc when transporting the console?

So nobody has the freezing issue on Quick Boot w/ the disc in? I always used to leave my disc in but after switching to Quick Boot - which I really like - I found the system would freeze about every other time I started it up. So I started taking the disc out and no more freezes. But then my kids started playing on Wii U more and leaving the disc in and the system went back to freezing so I turned off Quick Boot and leave the disc in.

And I don't have any problem w/ the disc noise b/c my external HDD is SO FREAKING LOUD that it drowns out everything else.

I always leave it in when it's off, but take it out if I unplug it. I assume it would get damaged if I travelled with a CD in it. I've had no problems.

Got married.

I leave the disc in but I turn off the UPS when the Wii U is not being used.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

It's really important not to move the system while it is on and there is a disc inside. You could hear unpleasant sounds indicating the disc inside is scratching against some surfaces - which is cemented by the face that you would see unusual scratches on the disc when you take it out.

P.S. I take the disc out when I'm moving the system just for precautions.

I always leave them in there. I usually play on the Internet Browser. (I currently have over 2500 hours according to my Activity Log.) So whenever I am in the mood to play more MH3U, I press the Home button and go straight to MH3U. Very rarely I play other games at a single time. I usually focus on one game. I recently popped in Hyrule Warriors a few weeks ago just so I could get my DLC before the code expired.
