I vaguely remember them talking about this during the original press conference surrounding the 32gb deluxe systems! I picked up the Zelda LE Bundle last year when it launched and the DDP promotion totally slipped my mind!
I just logged on to the Eshop to download mario 3 and saw an ad for it. Logged in to my account and had 20.00 worth of eshop codes!
Score!
Don't forget to make sure you're taking advantage of this service! I saw quite a few people post on here the past week in regards to their brand new Wii U purchases!
Thought I'd share incase others had forgotten as well!
"Earn points on all digital purchases made through Dec 2014.
Exchange points to receive activation codes by Mar 2015.
Activation codes earned must be redeemed at the Nintendo eShop by the end of June 2015.
There is no deadline to use funds once added to your balance in the Nintendo eShop."

Which is the stupidest thing. It should be for the Wii U's lifetime.

@Spuratis So, Nintendo predicted the end of the Wii U's life when it first released?
Dang....they knew it all along.

Seriously though, I don't know why the DDP program doesn't run longer. Maybe they'll extend it once the time runs out.. or maybe they just figure that digital will be much more popular then and they'll lose money. They could be trying to get people hooked on digital.

Judging from their reaction to digital sales, I don't think they have anything to worry about

Cheers matey, had completely forgotten about this and had a fiver waiting for me. I'll bet when they set the system up for this they relied on a lot of people forgetting. Why not directly credit your eshop account when you hit the 500 points?? Ah well, will be putting that towards one of the GBA games that i didn't get on the 3DS ambassador program!
Oh man, like KennyPowers already pointed out, when I read the title and was hoping Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) was was teaming up with Nintendo to make a wrestling game.
Diamond Dallas Page Presents Professional Wrestling. That would be a system seller right there.
To blessed to be stressed.
80's music makes me feel fabulous.
What Would Duane Do? Rynoggery
Anyone else feel that this should be available on both the basic and deluxe Wii U's and all the portable devices from Nintendo, sort of like their unique offering to compete with XBL and PS+
That DDP vid should be hit w the diamond cutter, its 10 seconds and loops 30 times. I never liked him, more a Jake the Snake fan, but he deserves more than 10 seconds.
Thanks for the reminder, I think I have $5 waiting for me.
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

A good idea, but you have to pay for XBL and PS+. But if Nintendo were to design a rewards program at no cost to compete with the two, it would be a good advantage. (No free games, though)
