I just saw that it's coming to NA on October 2! I'm pretty excited because this was one of the only Castlevania games I had no way of playing beforehand.

It's good that we're getting more Castlevania games on the Wii U vc but I think I'll pass since I have Dracula X Chronicles for my Vita, though I hope this means we will get more Castlevania games on vc like Circle of the Moon.
The hardest bit of Rondo of Blood is the boss rush against death. (Once you finish it you can unlock a video of a really cheap way to do it with Maria).
Hardest bit of Dracula X is the last boss which is just a bit harder than the Rondo of Blood one (Due to the bottomless pits). It is still not that bad though. (Like say the very last boss on Illusion of Gaia / Illusion of Time or Death on the NES Castlevania second quest).

seeing how dracula x will arrive on vc on october 2nd, i will be offering my very good condition cart for 125$.
i mean yall guys are true hardcore collectors/gamers right?
show me the 125$
lol
just for good measure, dracula x is really a different game than rondo of blood. its been said for years and people still just dont get it do they?
dracula x is a good game. what i say is the only thing important. this discussion is more than over

Yes, although Rondo of Blood can be purchased in the Wii's virtual console.
I do wish people would stop comparing Dracula X and Rondo of Blood like they were the same game. Like @ogo79 said, they're very different and each one stands on it's own.

All of the SNES Castlevania games are garbage. Them being different doesn't change that or make this worth playing under any circumstances. (Other than seeing how bad it is for yourself I suppose but I wouldn't even recommend that).

You must be joking because Super Castlevania IV is incredible. I never said Dracula X was great, but it's certainly not garbage.

Super Castlevania IV doesn't have what makes the others good. (I have even picked up the Super Famicom version which is better technically - less slowdown - but its spoilt by how easy it is).
I dislike it as much now as I did in the 90's when I first played it. (Put me off the series as a whole for many years until I played Rondo of Blood.)
I like Castlevania / Castlevania 3 / Castlevania : Bloodlines / Castlevania X68000 / Rondo of Blood / The Adventure : Rebirth. (Not played the Gameboy ones). What makes these good is lacking in Super Castlevania IV.

I agree. That said I did enjoy SCIV, because it lacked much of what makes a Castlevania game a Castlevania game.
I disagree, since Super Castlevania IV is one of my favorites, but let's keep the discussion on Dracula X.
Okay. I remember Dracula X looking pretty nice, nicer than SCIV (minus that cool rotating cylinder room), but playing… like a Castlevania game. Which is good if you're into that sort of thing.
add a dash of castlevania iv, stir in an ounce of rondo of blood and you pretty much have dracula x. if you like iv and rondo theres really no reason to dislike x.
i didnt buy the cart because its worth money, i bought the cart because its "just another good old castlevania game" ill be downloading it as well

I'll geti it when it's released in Europe. Konami just doesn't like to hurry with their Virtual Consoles releases.
Originally in 1995, this game was known in Europe as Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss. Also, it was one of the first games on Nintendo platforms Nintendo didn't publish or distribute in Europe.
