I wondered quite a while, but i think i havent heard something about this connector of the bottom of the gamepad. Does anybody know?

It could be for anything really. Maybe a range extender, so you can go further with the GamePad.
A surround sound headset/mic, a miscellaneous Wii U accessory like the vitality sensor, etc.
I don't really see much of what it could be used for, honestly.
