I see mayflash has an adapter for wii u pro to pc. Does anyone know if there is a mayflash adapter for wii u pro that would allow it to be used in wiimode on wii u?

This would make the wii u pro controller one of the best controllers for the wii u.
I'm thinking of buying another controller and it is somewhat silly that I need to seriously consider the wii classic pro over the new wii u pro controller for compatibility reasons. Especially since nintendo no longer makes them.

Hopefully nintendo will just make wii u pro controllers compatible with classic pro controller games.

Any news on this front? Has nintendo made the $50 wii u pro controllers compatible with wii games that used the wii classic pro controller?

The reason that the Wii U pro controller is not compatible with in Wii mode is because the Wii mode is basically a Wii. I doubt that Nintendo will ever make the Wii U pro controller compatible in Wii mode as it would me updating the Wii which Nintendo themselves have said that they stop supporting which means no updates for the Wii or Wii mode on the Wii U.

Besides you can pick up CCP at a used game store pretty cheap now. I got a gold one that came with Goldeneye for $5 at a used game store a few weeks ago.

My experience has been the opposite. Prices for the ccp have skyrocketed on amazon and elsewhere. I've been to several used game stores and they don't even have them in stock.

So how is for e.g Sin & Punishment and Pandoras Tower the support for using the Gamepad in lieu of the classic controller going to be implemented ?

Yeah I don't think the issue is that problematic; it could be just that they can't be bothered and figure most people will have the needed controller and if not Gamepad support is there. Seems a bit odd to support Gamepad and not Pro Controller, but how many people had to wait for Pro Controller support in New Super Mario Bros. U? It's almost like Pro Controller was meant to make certain gamers happy rather than being a viable alternative control scheme for the Wii U!

what we need is mayflash to build an adapter that allows you to use your Wii U pro controller in wiimode.

I wonder if it can just map all the buttons on the Wii U pro controller to the Wii classic pro controller. They are esentially the same controller....just one is a wireless controller that lasts a ridiculous 80 hours.

My guess is that technically it would have been possible to support the Pro Controller and, with some additional hardware, even the GamePad in Wii Games on the Wii. However given those games were created before those controllers were available? They don't support it. Releasing them digitally however allows them to recode the game slightly to support those new controllers.
