@Freeon-Leon: I'll be happy. Really, NX cannot be totally absent at E3; it's just the hardware itself that won't be at E3 (which doesn't affect me at all since I'm not going to E3 lol). I will be happy with a video (or videos) that explains what the NX is (with its name already decided), what its features are, and a list of planned games for it. If none of these are present, then like I said earlier Nintendo will have one big of a mess to clean up, sorry to say.
PS. I don't like doomy articles and whatnot either.
@DefHalan: That's going to be a problem. They can't start showing the games close to launch or something. They have to start at E3 or around that period.
@Vee_Flames: I want Nintendo to hold a NX direct two weeks after E3. News sites and gaming sites will just be on the edge of their E3 hype with things returning to normal, then Nintendo opens the floodgates. NX wasn't at E3, but that could just be to make sure they aren't drowned out by other companies. They can be loud and hype like crazy while being clear with their messages. lol That would be awesome or at least, maybe they could do it on the Friday (June 17th) after E3. Just mess with people and get all eyes on them.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
LOL... funny enough I just received an email from E3 reminding me that "complimentary admission for industry professonals" ends tomorrow and that I should register now.

Anyone know what I need to get an invite?!!
Really worried about this E3. It doesn't seem to me like Nintendo is just "changing things up". They seem to be scaling back entirely.
This alongside the new restructure news is signalling to me that Nintendo's BoD isn't happy, and that they are trying to take over. And we know from countless business examples, when the shareholders take control of the decision making process, things go downhill.
I miss Iwata

Not to be disrespectful but, Iwata put Nintendo in its current situation kinda.

Yes, but Iwata was pretty determined to defy the BoD, with confidence he could make it better (and he did). I fear Kimishima is just fulfilling the Board's agenda.

I don't think delaying the NX and pushing back Zelda's release date is fulfilling the Board's agenda. Iwata was confident but I think the Wii U was his ego getting the better of him. He thought he could sell the wii U to similar numbers as the Wii and failed big time.

It's not the delay that bothers me. It's the fact that Zelda is the only playable game at E3, and that they are restructuring the company to give the board more executive power.

Zelda being the only playable game at E3 is a little strange but I think it shows what Nintendo thinks of E3 overall. E3 is becoming less important because it is where everyone talks about everything. Everyone is screaming trying to get their game talked about that it is so hard to standout. Having only Zelda playable at E3, just means that is what they feel they can scream the loudest with in my opinion. As long as they have more for Wii U owners than just Zelda in 2017, then I think they will be fine.
I don't really know about the more power to the board. Right now it seems it is giving the board more information and the business being more visible to the board but not giving them more overall power, but I don't really know the details when it comes to that stuff lol.

No, He didn't. You have no idea what you are talking about, or what was lost.

He did some great things, and brought the gaming industry to a whole new level, but was he not President of Nintendo with most of Wii U?
EDIT: That was a terrible mistake. fixed it now. Was going to say Iwata but my mind skipped the last 4 letters. I am kinda tired lol.

The restructuring is less about giving the board more power and more about keep them in line with other companies, a public company the size of Ninty not having it's own audit system seems crazy to me.
Could we perhaps stop getting offended over talk of Iwata—a guy I'm 100% sure non of you have ever even set eyes upon? This is not the first person I have seen this kind of pop culture idol worship with. It's not sacrilegious to criticize a dead person just because they're associated with something you like. That's just being silly.
I wonder what the digital event gimmick will be this year. 2013 didn't have any, 2014 had robot chicken and 2015 had puppets. Since the event will be heavily Zelda centered... Puppets dressed as Link?
