Topic: What's your favorite Nintendo system?

I might get some hate for saying this, but gamecube. And not because of sunshine. And I also loved the GBA. After that it would be the 64.

@Happy_Mask, you're definitely not alone. Gamecube was awesome. I also loved my GBA.

I don't care if it "had bad sales" "was the worst selling Nintendo system ever" or that it "lost the console war." None of that matters to me. It had THE BEST game library. Although the SNES is still legendary.

I'll always remember how each of the main series Nintendo games took such risks and really stood out as being different. Almost none of them were recieved well at first either. Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Kirby's Air Ride, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart: Double Dash.

They all did something completely different.

Not to mention a lot of amazing series getting their start on Gamecube, or also making their worldwide debut.
Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin.

I also think despite popular belief that the third party support was at its strongest for the Gamecube.

So yeah, I love that little "toy" that could.

One more thing about Gamecube.

It had a handle, it was a lunchbox, and it was purple!

Thats a very hard one. I'd have to say between SNES and Gamecube. Super Mario Allstars and Super Mario Kart. And Super Mario Sunshine Plus Super Smash Bros. Melee. I never got tired of those games.

My favourite will always be the SNES as it was my first console, I spent so many hours / days / weeks / months / years of my life playing games on the SNES that nothing else will compare.

In a close 2nd I would say the Wii, it was the console that gave us Galaxy 1&2 plus quite a few others gems (I think the wii has a better library of games than people give it credit for. Imagine buying one now if you'd never owned one, there are loads of great games to play through)

Another reason I love the Wii is for the Virtual Console, being able to go back and play all those retro games (without having to dust old consoles off from the loft) was groundbreaking at the time.

I'm not a massive N64 fan, the only games that were must haves for me are Mario 64 and Kart 64, both of which I have via the VC on Wii

Unfortunately I have no love whatsoever for the GameCube. I guess it was released around the time of my life when I lost interest in Video games for a short period, I would have been around 20 years of ages and was simply more interested in going out socialising with friends and chasing Girls etc lol. Also I already owned a PS2 which was enough for me at the time.

By the time the Wii was due for release things had settled down and I was starting to get back into it all and I've been a massive gaming fan ever since

I've been playing Nintendo since 1986. But when the N64 came out, that "fun machine" & video games found a very special place in my heart that still exists today. therefore it's my fave.

Gameboy advance and gamecube zelda minish cap and advance wars castlevania and pokemon crystal, windwaker and twilight princess are the most epic games

the megadrive/genesis followed by the dreamcast . the genesis gave the SNES a run for its money back in the day. sega, come back!

SNES or N64 because they are the first systems I have ever played when I was about 3 or 4 years old. After that I fell in love with Nintendo and Rare. (:

I go back and forth between my favorite system but as of right now it's the SNES with the NES in a oh-so close second and the Wii in a distant third. N64 and Gamecube Ape escaped me and I don't want to pull a Marty McFly and go Back to the Future with those because there are enough NES and SNES games to keep this guy busy.

The Wii is my favorite, of course. The Wii's the ultimate Nintendo console. It plays NES, SNES, N64, and GameCube plus you get the Wii stuff as well.

@rancidvomit86 because teleroboxer and virtual boy wario land were only decent. You can't expect one or two games to carry an entire console.
