Bigger screenshot of the titlescreen of Mario Kart R (later 64)
Magikoopa from the right-hand side....
A PowerVR videocard powered Rave Racer PC-version, sadly never seen again. Tekken 2 and Ace Combat 22 were also games that were in development for the PC.

Thanks to Retromags for providing the scan of the last edition ever of Maximum : The videogame Magazine (7th), which is unfortunately offline.
Ultra rare screen of a prototype code of Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts (yes, that terribly difficult game) :
Final version does not contain Goblins with clubs or axes in the very first level as it is shown here... Notice also the different display, for instance the weapons are shown on the topside of the screen, and here below...
Thanks to Retromags for providing the scan of Mean Machines Issue 1, 1990, which is also unfortunately offline.
I'm shocked you guys of all the games listed that are beta, unrealized lost levels, and other junk overlooked the big daddy of lost finished projects on the SNES -- STAR FOX 2.
Now if you want to see a nice huge 35min long video of the game (final no less) being played which I can verify as in my seedier days I had it and played the crap out of it, (and there are at least 2 earlier betas too you can track down and all work in a program called 'zsneswin') so check this: http://www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/star-fox-2-unreleased-...
All in all, a done project canceled due to the impending (at the time named) Ultra 64. The system as some may recall was delayed a good year, and Star Fox 64 was in planning at that time to come out within the first year of the systems life so SF2 got canned and much of its good ideas (all range mode, free flight, ground missions, the 'Star Wolf' team, and more were pulled in) and other stuff lost to time such as a dog girl and a lynx who could fly as part of your team.

Well i purposely left out Star Fox 2, as it is quite well-known and popular as 'lost artifact' in these circles. Most serious retro gamers or SNES fanatics have played the finalized code of the game...
But nevertheless, the fact is it is indeed an unreleased game, so thanks for the add, i'll check out the footage too
This is probably the most wanted lost NES game ever :
Most people consider the idea of a found code of the game a false story, a hoax....because there were releases that were in fact hoaxes!
Hmm didn't know there were rules to posting what was a lost title.
You know if you hit up lostlevels.org they have quite a few old NES games that went missing.
Final Fantasy II NES Sunman (converted from Superman by Sunsoft) Happy Camper (unreleased Color Dreams NES game) Earthbound NES River City Ransom 2 Hit the Ice NES(was on TG16) California Raisins (NES)
And there's a few others there too if you use the 'articles' link at the top of the page.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
it's the very early version of Rayman, before Atari Jaguar or Playstation, the game was initially made for Super Nintendo but the developers were more interested by the CD-Rom format, they scrapped this version and remade entirely the game as we know it.
A early build of the SNES version of B.O.B., a game made by Gray Matter (Chris Gray in fact)
Notice the different look of B.O.B. ; a really 'flat sprite' as opposed to a more dimensional one in the final. A different weapon and another score-display.
Scan i made came from the German mag Videogames from 5/'93.
