Put it somewhere in my house where people can see it, and when they ask about it, give them a sophisticated history of the console and have some deep meaning behind it ("Even the best of people make mistakes" or something like that)
probably most peole on this site would complain because it's not a brand Wii U and 3DS, by the way the complaints have been going. I would start exploring the collection and try to build a retro console collection.
Let it sit in the box and gain value. While there were a few games on it I liked, I know I would get bored really quickly. It isn't worth it to me to play them for a short while, only to let the system collect dust for a few years until I feel my nostalgic senses tingling again. Then a few decades down the road I would probably end up selling the thing
freeze it in a time capsule. Label as "Warning: Proof of Nintendo failure. Open at own risk" Then bury it in a graveyard for some unsuspecting victim to dig up in the distant future. Only to open the thing and have his eyes begin to bleed little Nintendo symbols till the day he destroys the cursed machine.... >.>
or just sell it to slackers, need me some more Wii games
Depends on if it was in box or not. If it was new in box, I would display it and let my friends drool over it. If it were opened (assuming there were games), I would play it. A lot.
As a collector's item, I would be careful with it. Mario Clash, Virtual Boy Wario Land, 3D-Tetris, V-Tetris, Vertical Force all look extremely fun games to play by the way!
