Hello there, I am in need of some advice, because apparently no one on the internet has had this problem before. So, I have a cobalt blue AGS-001 Model GBA SP, and it powers on and plays games, but the screen does not show a single thing. If you bend the screen back far enough it shows the screen, but if you stop, the screen goes blank again. I think it's a contact problem with the screen, but I have no idea. Plus, the light will not come on at all, but I think that's because I may have spilt pop on it like over a decade ago. I have not opened it up yet, but I am just looking for guidance first. What could be the way I can fix this? It means a lot to me and I want to play on it again.

You're better off just buying a new system. The AGS-001 (non-bright models) are cheap and you can find many that are refurbished on eBay for about $100 or so. Try OfferUp, Mercari, and mostly your local game stores to get a new one.

Sounds like the ribbon cable is faulty. Have you tried opening it up and seeing if it is in place properly? Replacement screen are available, which will be cheaper than buying a new GBA.

@TheFizzyBrony Did you fix it? I have the same problem. I bought A Old GBASP with the broken glass screen and I tried to change it for an ips V2.The console reads the normal game and the brightness can be changed normally , but it doesn't give any image.Does anyone know what can it be?
