Hmm, well Super Mario Sunshine, Kirby Air Ride, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Pokemon Channel (I don't care what anybody says, I actually enjoyed that game!)

actually Double Dash isnt hated that much. X-Play actually said it was better than Melee
@RandomWiiPlayer - I guess the reason people lambast Super Mario Sunshine is because they compare it to Super Mario 64, a lot (for better or worse). I don't care what game sold best, both are good games.
I actually compare it to Galaxy and when compared, Sunshine is terrible.

Really? I've heard nothing but hate for Double Dash by the fans, and the press reviews weren't exactly glowing either.
Let me just say the Gamecube was a whole SYSTEM that I love but everyone else hates. I actually thought the handle was pretty useful!
I personally liked the Gamecube's design. It was a neat small cube! I liked the finish on it, too! Never really favored the glossy surface of the Wii and DS Lite.

I agree! Adventures was a bit unique, so I can understand it. Assault, while it may have lacked the alternate paths, it was just as much fun, if not more so! The voices in Assault were the best in the series! And after SF Adventures, you have to admit that it's good to see a return to the original formula!
I love MegaMan: Network Transmission. I've never heard anyone say they hate it, but I never hear any praise for it, either. It's highly underrated.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Bomberman Generation- OK, it's not "hated" per se, but it's a great game that no one really pays attention to.
Simpsons Hit & Run- Awesome and hilarious Grand Theft Auto clone.
Mega Man X: Command Mission- A fairly good RPG with a very fun combat system, much better than the press would have you believe. Been meaning to make more progress in it, but the story is so dull it's making it pretty hard.
Wario World- I didn't like it at first, but it's was a pretty good game in hindsight. Really need to pick it up again someday.

As a person who has purchased and played Network Transmission twice, think I'm obligated to tell you why it sucks:
The stages aren't particularly very interesting or well designed, and are often too long
Mega Man and his enemies move too slow, making the game rather dull
The Mega Buster is useless, often forcing you to rely on your very limited and randomly distributed Battlechips
It's incredibly difficult to restock your chips
1-ups are too limited all of which add up to create one incredibly frustrating and unfun game. Honestly, I'mpressed anyone has the patience to handle such a trying game.

How far are you in Command Mission? From my own experience, and from what I've heard, it's great up until the halfway point, where it pretty much takes a nose-dive...
I always wanted Bomberman Generations as a kid. I really out to pick it up some time. Same with Wario World.
I could've sworn Hit & Run was relatively well recieved. I've even seen it on Top 25 charts and such.
Anybody know how Bomberman Jetters is? I see it at a local rental place for about 5 dollars, but I'm not so sure I should pick it up.
Well this thread convinced me to actually give Star Fox Assault a chance. Never have and I'm a big StarFox fan.
I hope you like it if you ever get it, it's one of my favorite Gamecube games. Just remember, don't use the default controls, they suck. I prefer the Dual-stick configuration, makes it much easier and more rewarding. Also, just in case you don't already know, there's more emphasis on the free-range Space Shooting and Third-person-shooting Ground levels than the on-rails ones. Still, it's a blast through and through and I found it to be fully worth my time and money, and I hope it's worth yours.:thumbs-up:

I've never had a problem with the stages or speed. I think the stages are very well designed in some parts. If it were as fast as some other platformers, you wouldn't be able to fight very well with the Battlechips. As it is, the ability to stop time while you think things through and select your Battlechips is necessary at some points.
The Mega Buster is useless at first, but it becomes a decent weapon after some upgrades. Besides, the Battlechips are really fun to use, and there are ways to help keep the chips from being too random. You can also grab them in any combination unlike the GBA Battle Network games. The Program Advances make them even more fun.
It doesn't take that long to change your chips, and if necessary, you can just wait for a while after clearing a section of enemies. Of course, that doesn't work in boss battles, but you wouldn't want them to be too easy. You can still wait through a few battle chip changes at the boss portal, using the ammo on the ones you don't want so thy don't come back up, and use the portal when you have the chips you want. If you're still having trouble at some point, you can always log out to keep your collected money and chips.
You only start with 2 lives, but there are quite a few extra lives you can grab along the way. After you beat Gutsman, the game actually becomes quite a bit easier for a while with all the Battlechips and upgrades you collect.
Interestingly, it has highly mixed reviews on MetaCritic ranging between 40 and 90. I guess the amazing mix of 2D platforming and psuedo-turn-based-RPG elements doesn't work for everyone, or they give up during the somewhat frustrating early stages.
