Topic: Darius Series

With G Darius recently being rereleased, I figured we can talk some Darius. Which Darius Games are your favorites? I think Darius Gaiden is one of the best shmups of all time.

Never really got into them. Firepower in the original feels quite weedy - takes a good few power-up's to get up to the level some other games start you at, then powering you down after a death makes recovery really difficult. Never bothered with the second because of that. I enjoyed Gaiden years ago on Saturn, but I wasn't about to pick up an overpriced collection to play it again. I've ordered G though - enjoyed what I played on one of the Taito Xbox comps many years ago, so looking forward to this.

The only one I spent a bit of time on was Darius Twin on SNES.
Pretty enjoyable.
