Hello new here, just looking for suggestions for upscaling / hdmi hookup solutions for N64. Thanks!

There are a lot of different options. The best would be getting an UltraHDMI installed, but that is very expensive. A much cheaper option is the Hyperkin 3 in 1 HDTV Cable for Super NES / N64 / GameCube, however there are a lot of reviews saying that it is poor quality. It will still be better than those general cheap upscalers (like those AV to HDMI ones) since it is at least designed for 240p.

The RetroTINK or RAD2X are a bit more expensive, but are very good. They are still significantly cheaper than a UltraHDMI mod, although they are missing some features. There is also the EON Super64, which is good too, but it is very expensive compared to the RetroTINK which does almost the same thing.

Unfortunately, even with the best upscaling, the N64 is always going to look bad on a large HD TV. It will look much better on a small CRT, but those are getting old now.

EDIT: what I said might be a little bit outdated. It seems like things might have changed a little bit

Ultra HDMI is dead it appears. Judging by forum posts, they're sitting on a lot of people's money for years on end now, not shipping to them, or issuing refunds.

Pixel FX's N64 Digital HDMI mod is slightly better anyways and you don't have to worry about throwing your money away, although like with all such projects these days, supply chain issues have caused availability problems.
