Topic: "3D" engine on the GBA

The GBA has seen many games that have the illusion of 3D, not the mode7 but the actual look and feel of pseudo polygons. Their are quite a few game that use this, like the Need For Speed games, Doom I and II (is quake on gba?), Duke Nukem Advance, Driv3er, GTA Advance and many others. This game engine was one of the most technologically useful items to use in the early 2000's on handhelds without the support for 3D.

Ive been playing duke nukem 3d on my gba and i have to say, this has the most detail for a fps/ adventure game for any early 2000 handheld. The sidewalks and streets are actually separated by an actual "tall'' curb!!! levels are much larger than DS game levels too sometimes.(compared to the NDS) was the jump to actual 3d from the gba to ds too much for developers to handle? maybe for all of the ds games, they should've used a quake-like engine (not real 3d) to make very large levels!

Thats my thoughts!
