Topic: The Xbox One Game Recommendations Thread

Lols, well, I haven't played any Assassins Creed, either, @NEStalgia .... Apparently, the Arkham games have a new collection coming, too

@BruceCM Watch Dogs is a good game, the phones are used for hacking but the gameplay is varied and fun and upgrading your abilities is as fun as in a RPG game. It's just that I prefer a historic setting, old architecture and nature like in the Assassin's Creed games. I love that about Assassin's Creed and the gameplay is also fun so I'd recommend Assassin's Creed! The conversations in Watch Dogs are a reflection of the worst side of real 21st century citizens but you can skip them. The city is incredibly detailed, I'll give it that.

@NEStalgia I hate that (magnetic cops), it's even worse than in Need for Speed Most Wanted. My problem with the game is explained in the first paragraph and not the character or the story. Anyway, when I'm done with it I'll move back to my Assassin's Creed backlog!

Oh, cool, @BlueOcean .... It'll make a change for me, playing a game in more modern setting!

@BruceCM The Arkham Collection includes the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City remasters (already available) and Arkham Knight (current-gen game).

Yeah, so I gathered, @BlueOcean .... If there's no advantage to getting the collection, I think the games are cheaper individually (pre-owned) As long as they're all playable on XBox One, which was what I wasn't sure about

@BruceCM Yeah, especially considering that the collection doesn't include Origins which is last-gen only. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City remasters are included in Game Pass. Arkham Knight too!

Cool, I'll see which is cheaper at the time, @BlueOcean ... Since the games are 2-8 each, I can easily buy the cheapest to see if I like it, anyway

@BruceCM I have only played Arkham City on Wii U and I liked it. Resolution and performance was not great on Wii U, obviously. I still have to play the whole series on Xbox One with Game Pass.

Yeah, just never played any of those, @BlueOcean .... Not even sure quite what gameplay style is

@BruceCM Arkham City is an open-world game with a tight story. There is combat and exploration. I had the greatest fun gliding once you are able to and escaping from dangerous situations.

On Xbox Gold, you can get Castlevania Symphony of The Night for FREE! I downloaded it and it is a nostalgic trip so far!

@LetsGoSwitch Quick question! If I use my Gold Pass from the paper I got when I bought my Console and I download SotN. After the pass is over do I get to play SotN even after that?
