I bought RE6, Sports Rivals and SuperStar Golf. Now I have more stuff to play on Xbox One. I also downloaded Borderlands, for the hell of it. I'd buy Fruit Ninja if it was on sale, unless they bring my 360 version up.
My digital library is growing... Maybe I'll get some Sega games. It's too bad that the Sonic and Knuckles 3 combo cartridge never came out on anything, besides PC and the originals.
Resident Evil 6 is weird as s***. The characters are weak, except on certain parts, the controls are crazy, and the game cuts out too often. Considering I actually made it through the Revelations crap, I will have to try harder.
It's been a while but decided to turn my 360 on to have a go at a few of the shm'ups I picked up in Japan and acquired the PDP Mortal Kombat X controller as a decent 2D gaming pad.
So far only played a bit of Eschatos and Ginka Force; so far pretty decent. Still have to give Bullet Soul Infinite Burst and one of the Dodonpachi games a shot.
Any other region free 360 shm'ups anyone can recommend? So far I got:
Under Defeat
Dodonpachi Resurrection
Akai Katana
Deathsmiles
Shooting Love
Eschatos
Bullet Soul: Infinite Burst
Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
My biggest desire is Raiden Fighter Aces but since the EU release was canned and the PC release was a rather weak port of the Mobile version I'm pretty much bummed out on that one.
It seems that Microsoft are planning on releasing a slim Xbox One, an Xbox wireless TV dongle thingummy and another Xbox for later next year, in 2017, to kick start a 'new' generation... and less than four years after the Xbox One has been on the shelves too.
I really don't like the direction that these companies are going.
A 4K PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is perfectly fine however, to create a potential divide between the original platform and these new 4K systems have got me feeling a little bit worried.
Seems that Microsoft are going for the 'power game' next time round, which doesn't necessarily guarantees success; PSone, PlayStation 2 and the Wii are worthwhile examples of this.
@Peek-a-boo It's sounding like the sole purpose of the PS4 Neo and XB1 Scorpio is for VR immersion. So VR acting like how Kinect kind of acted as a new generation.
I really don't care about these console upgrades. Games on PS4 and X1 look fine.
But if it's needed for VR, I'm just gonna cancel my VR preorder.
I am not going to spend $500 on VR, just to spend another $400 on a console I already own. It ain't that important to me. Especially when I have yet to see a single worthwhile system seller for VR.

Microsoft is planning a Xbox One Slim... that's really nice, but I'm not looking to play an Xbox One right now. I'm desperately hoping that Sony follows suit and also make a PS4 Slim, even though it's somehow inferior to the other console versions such as the hard drive space.
@Vee_Flames I believe the PS4 is already in its 'slim' form!
It has an internal power supply and everything is neatly tucked inside the case itself, compared to the oversized Xbox One - along with its messy innards - and the external brick-sized power supply.
Between the two, the Xbox One needs the 'slim' redesign more so than the already slim PlayStation 4.
Yeah there was a rumour that the launch models of the PS4 would work "awfully" with PSVR, and that was why Sony were pushing this Neo thing out to compensate for that problem. It was debunked quickly on Neogaf but I think that both Microsoft and Sony (possibly even Nintendo depending on the 'gimmick' of the NX) are pushing things too quickly. I don't see the real * need * or even true excitement for these systems from people, the fact that they're bringing nothing truly new to the table and they're being held back by the current systems is the key to that in my opinion. Even if the Xbox Scorpio is 4x as powerful as the Xbox One, why should I be excited if all its games are held back by the current Xbox One? Same for the Neo obviously.
@Peek-a-boo I dunno... I think the PS4 is a bit too bulky for my tastes (The Xbox One is another matter on its own) and besides, I don't have space for a PS4 under my TV right now. I believe Sony's engineers can further reduce the size of the PS4, especially since parts get smaller and cheaper as time goes on. I'd even appreciate a Wii U Lite... but we all know that isn't happening.
Or maybe I just like slim, lite and curvy things a lot...
@DarthNocturnal haha... I wouldn't accept a fatter Wii U than it is now... in fact, the Wii U is a bit too long! But it's so curvy, so I can forgive that.
@TheLastLugia we will see how long they are held back by current systems. A lot of people are speculating that at some point they will take away the restriction of having to work on the old models
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
Another Xbox and PS4 coming out is like iPhone 10 coming out tomorrow unannounced; not gonna happen. Common sense.
There's already enough BS About NX being next generation, when they already said it won't replace Wii U and 3DS(main consoles) like a million times. All we need is PS4.5 and Xbox 1.53 rumors.
I'm pretty sure none of the companies are dumb enough to leave half of a generation worth of fanbase for a stop gap console, and if they are, then it's probably PS and will go out of video gaming business like PS Vita.
EDIT: Slim console for Xbox One, possibly, but they haven't even gotten Netflix or YouTube to run on Xbox One as good as last generation, Bluetooth support on Xbox One isn't there, etc. Releasing a new console with missing features from last generation is already off the mark as it is.
I made a mistake. You can unlock Knuckles in Sonic 2 & 3 if you have them on Wii/PS3/Xbox 360. I still think the Wii/Wii U controllers still have the better d-pad, but Sega games aren't on Wii U VC and I don't think Xbox One has Sonic and Knuckles as BC.
That's what happens when the account system doesn't do much of anything past last generation.
Everything is going digital, and that means they are lost games until they fix that... Not to mention they released them a million times, not to mention multiplatform even when Dreamcast was around. It's crazy that Sonic is still trying to make it to the newest platform.
Maybe they'll finally make a remake that looks like cartoon and extra levels and Sonic 5 that looks like anime. Then it will ultimate and not be on your next console as BC. * Sigh *
So, what do you all hope to see from Microsoft at E3?
Given that I do not own an Xbox One, and probably never will due to the whole Scorpio rumours and with Sunset Overdrive being the sole game that makes me want to buy the system, I do wish for Microsoft to be as compelling as they once were with both the original Xbox and the Xbox 360.
Seeing as Forza, Gears and Halo are in a decline, sales wise, I would like to see more originality from their first party teams; ReCore and Scalebound is a good start however, we haven't seen anything of the former, and the latter didn't have a particularly glowing showing at Gamescom last August.
I'd imagine we'd see more of Crackdown 3, yet another Forza game, Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2, ReCore, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, the trio of exclusive indie games (Cuphead, Below and Inside) and at least one whole new game. Maybe talk about their Windows 10 and Xbox integration bobbins too.
And to bring the conference to a closure, they shall reveal a slim Xbox One for $299/€299/£279 and will go on sale at the beginning of July.
I'm hoping for more Halo 5 content (the last confirmed content is either for June or July don't remember which), Halo Wars 2, some unknown games and news about the summer system update. What I don't want it to be about is VR (same with Sony's presentation) because I really don't care about VR and I hope NX has nothing to do with it either.
EDIT: Turns out the big update is in the summer, not fall.
@DarthNocturnal I agree with a few things but not Banjo, I think the current Rare regarding Banjo maybe in the same situation as the current Retro Studios regarding Metroid. Lots of people left to work on other projects like Playtonic (Yooka Laylee) and Armature (ReCore) respectively. Sea of Thieves seems like a great way to see what the new Rare can do (a new IP for Retro would also work if not working on a new DK game).
As for the other points, crossbuy between PC and XB1 as well as a new Age of game would be cool though wouldn't affect me as I don't play PC. As for E3 excitement, totally but also Ubisoft and some non-press conference stuff. That said, Nintendo's plans are confusing so maybe there's more to Nintendo's E3 though the only way that could happen is a Nintendo Direct this week or next week.
@DarthNocturnal I'll be putting up with it mostly due to the fact the Ubisoft E3 conference will be potentially the last major Nintendo Life stream chat until the NX is revealed. I see Zelda U focus for Nintendo's E3 putting off quite a lot of the fun interaction in the Nintendo Life chat on the Tuesday and onwards if exists.
