Basically, i asked for a PS3 from my family but i'm not sure if it'll happen. It is a $300 purchase after all, and I'm not sure where the Grandparent Spoiling Meter is at. My parents (who would probably disapprove since i have several systems) don't know I asked for one. I sent this dangerous wishlist out today. So this thread will be following this zaniness until the end of the year, updating as things progress.
(For the record, I put PS3 OR several wii and DS games.)

Thanks. To all: feel free to make predictions on if I'll get it and/or other guesses. They can be for or against my hopes and dreams, just keep them realistic.

They got me a Gamecube back in 2001 which is roughyl equilvalant in cost. I do fully realize that my grandparents spoil me more than most probably do. But I think my parents make up for that

Haha, my grandparents wouldn't have even known what a PS3 was. I don't think I would have asked them for one, because of the chance I might end up with some other video game system, or a game with no console, or what they'd get me every year anyway. Now, my brother's birthday was the end of November and mine was the beginning of December. Combining birthday and Christmas money did get us some systems.
Good luck!
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery

This goes without saying...and you're probably a good guy so this doesn't even need to be said, but... I hope they know how much THEY are appreciated (and not their gifts).
If I asked for this, it would mean probably that this would be a gift with everyone's name on the "from" tag. I might get a game with it, but that would be it.
It depends on your economic situation. If your parents are in a severe economic crisis like mine are, then don't get your hope up. If however they are doing good, the chances are good too.
I asked my grandparents, who are comfortably retired. Today's update: last night my uncle (the son of said grandparents) called and wanted to know what I wanted. So now he knows because I let him know the situation and tentatively gave him some ps3 games as idea (mostly greatest hits titles.)

Haha! Nice going there! I might have gotten $40 a couple times, but mostly I get fairly small stuff from my grandparents.

My grandparents always did MUCH smaller stuff than a PS3...mostly just money and a little homemade foodstuffs. So your grandparents giving you a game console seems INSANE to me!
Back when the PS2 was still $250, my dad bought me AND my brother one for Christmas. That's one system for two kids, which is to say it was too expensive a gift to not be shared. He didn't get us anything else that year, either. Good thing we knew it was coming, so we could get each other some games to play.
My Backloggery Updated sporadically. Got my important online ID's on there, anyway. :P

The plan is to get them a copy of my self-published novel that I'm working on (no.5), which will kind of be a late-christmas present. I've done it before with my first novel.

Ughh I hate you I don't think i've ever gotten anything from my grandparnets That may have to something with living 150 miles away but still! I think you'll get it
Ordinarily I'd throw something at you, but I did say "feel free to make predictions." Still, that throwable object over there has your name on it.
