Hey guys, we're about to get a PS4 at home, but the thing is I have never really stepped out of the Nintendo world of gaming... I really don't know what type of game I should get, or would like. I'm not fond of extremely gory or graphic content. Please give me any suggestions! Thank you
Ratchet & Clank and Gravity Rush Remastered are two I'd absolutely recommend to start with. I'd also say give inFamous: Second Son a try if you're into comicbook superhero type games. It's only $20 now. It has some cursing but it is rated T so it's not all blood and guts everywhere. Staying in line with superheroes, Batman: Arkham Knight is a good pick up. Uncharted is more of a 'cinematic-experience' but it is fun, has a good story and I always recommend people new to PlayStation to try that series. You can get the Nathan Drake Collection and if you like it enough, Uncharted 4 is the pinnacle of the series in many ways. I won't lie though, it's tough to suggest a lot of games that lack graphic or gory content and I'm not sure what would bother you and what wouldn't. For example, Bloodborne is a fantastic game but it's pretty dark and obviously violent. Provides a very nice challenge, however, and if you really want to test your skills and patience, Dark Souls 3 is another excellent RPG.
Anyway, hope that helps a little bit. If you can only get one game to start, make sure it's R&C, that's a very comfortable game for people who have mostly been on Nintendo consoles.
Anything from the Souls series is amazing once you get the hang of it. You should also try warframe, it's a free to play game that while it allows you to buy stuff to progress faster, it isn't needed. I have really good stuff and I have never spent any money on it. It's also quite fun. Infamous Second Son is quite a good game. I also enjoyed Arkham Knight quite a lot. I don't know about the last one, but the Uncharted series is quite fun, and I really mean it since I wasn't interested in it but I got Uncharted 3 and had an incredible gaming experience. Also you should try The Last of Us, It's a really great game, however I recommend that game ust for you, since it's quite dark and crude for a kid, but really unique.
