1985 duh! If not for the release of the Nes that year we might not still be talking about gaming today. At least not with such love and dedication to the hobby. Nintendo made gaming a thing. In the early days it was so popular parents would call anything you play games on a Nintendo. I'd be playing my Sega Genesis and my mom would be like, Turn off that Nintendo and come eat your dinner!

2051, because then all the games I enjoy playing will have been made. Though I'm pretty pissed off that I still have to pay $20 for a limited release of Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo Switch Ultimate Virtual Reality machine, but it's neat to finally know what "L is real" means.
2013, it was the year that changed my life forever.
I used to be playing with pirated games and modded machines as here in Indonesia, it was a bad habit that really hard to be stopped.
But after i tried to buy one original game and another original games with my own salary, i felt excited and started to continue hunting more original games.
On 2 November 2013, it was my first purchase of Original machine ever, No modding, No pirated games.
It was an Old model 3DS XL Pink White edition. Started from that point it changed my mindset forever.
On year 2014, i tried to order 1 used game from my friend and i was surprised i got the Brand New game instead of used condition. He said it was ordered from playasia. It was my first Original NDS game ever, Final Fantasy III NDS.
But my friend was no longer able to help me but i got his another friend phone number. I contacted that phone number and he was able to order the games from playasia. I felt blessed when i got another 2 NDS games from playasia, Brand New condition and it changed my life forever too. I got a chance to hunt Original games with someone help.
The Gamecube era was my favourite, but I don't think there was a specific year that encompassed the majority of my favourite Gamecube games, they're pretty spread out.
I think 2017 is the best one that I can think of right now. Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Nier Automata, Persona 5, Metroid Samus Returns, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Splatoon 2 are all wonderful.
