so i feel like my sprite is taking TOO much inspiration from celeste to the point where it feels like a character in the game, and i dont want that, so im making a new version of it

@DiamondCore It definitely is but I really liked it! Seriously though this game is coming along really nicely, your change and improvement with the colors and level design in just s few months is crazy.

@Snatcher yeah, i really liked the old sprite too, but it is required for me to change it so this game doesnt look like a celeste knockoff, the new sprite isnt all-too different though
I think the new sprite works well with the scenery too mostly, i just gotta change a few things and decide if i want a dark red outline or black outline
also, thanks so much for the appreciation! this is what happens when i spend a bit too much time in aseprite lol

@DiamondCore yeah it’s understandable. The scenery did like a complete one eighty from when you first showed us, the red in the background is amazing and the red used on the platforms being darker compared to lighter makes it look so good! I think black would look great but I would want to see both side by side.

I got some complaints of the image being "too red" so i decided to put the BG back to its orange-y like state, and am starting to add more background elements with more red-shading diversity
... i also finally added variation in the tiles!

I prefer the darker reds because it's easier on the eyes, and I imagine that it would be uncomfortable to be staring at such striking reds for extended periods of time, especially on the OLED Switch.
@Eel I can see why, as it looks a bit unique. though I personally think it makes the image just look rough because the 2x1 pixels being THAT apparent and big look off-putting and feel a bit cheap
@Sisilly_G I think i agree, the darker reds look a lot nicer for this sort of atmosphere.
Plus, it kinda helps give off the vibes that this is an underground setting a bit more lol (which it is)
