Topic: What do you think of PSP Go?

Whoever runs their pricing department should be fired. $249 for a portable system with less features than its predecessor seems outrageous. It forces you into digital games only. I think that both retail and digital games should co-exist forever side by side, but I don't believe there should be a console or portable gaming system where you ONLY can download games.

I'm getting one anyway, but I do agree, the $250 price tag is too much, especially considering even Sony has stated that it actually costs less to manufacture than the regular PSP system. Sony has made a lot of mistakes this generation, and I wish they would get things turned around again.

Sony actually SAID that, Corbie? DAMN, they're retarded! I was about to suggest that the cost of the 16 gigs of built-in memory was the reason for the price, but I guess not...

I was planning on getting a psp at the end of the year but I'm still not sure which one to get. I love the idea of having all my games available on the system itself but the psp go is really too expensive. It should at least be the same price as the psp3000 even though it costs less to produce.

It should cost less, becuase the PSP 3000 will still sell because all those soccer moms will see the PSP games and notice they aren't compatible with the PSP Go. I might buy it though... NOT! Well, maybe...

My thoughts on the PSP Go is it's to expensive. End of Story.

I rule when it comes to games. So deal with it.

I dunno really. I guess its cool but I am not much for handhelds myself.

The PSP Go sucks I think. Unless it can connect to the internet all the time [not limited Wi-fi],I'm not buying it. I have a regular PSP and that's all I need.
Oh,and Sony is retarded.

I was considering getting the PSP Go but the price has changed my mind. There are finally some good exclusive games that I actually want on the PSP so I guess I'll just get a PSP 3000 instead.

I upgraded to the PSP Slim but last years lack of games really scares me from upgrading to the GO. If Gamestop offers like a 125 dollar trade in then maybe but thats what it would take.

There is no wonder the PSP Go costs so much; since Sony loses money with every PS3 sold, Sony compensated by over-pricing the PSP Go, I think.

So it's the lack of games and price that bothers everyone.....I've heard no one mention the lack of a disc drive bothering them though. Surely wouldn't that be a factor as well?

the fact that they are still supporting the 3000 is nice BUT if you can get a download or a disc....Im getting the disc. If I dont like the game at least I can still sell it. With a digital download...well what am I going to do with that. Ive downloaded some flops on wiiware and they are just stuck on my wii. I cant sell them, I cant give them away. The psp go will be plagued with this problem.
It would be diffrent if the ratio of good games to terrible ones was different for the psp

Well you guys in the USA are better of than we in Europe

You pay $250 we pay 250€...
BUT $250 are 177€
250€ are $352...

So we Europeans pay 73€ too much! 73€ are $103 !!!

Why do we have to pay 70€ / $100 more? We are the ones who should complain not you guys in the US

No, we should all complain. $250 is too much for the system, and as for $350 for the PSP Go? Well, that's just highway robbery.

I want one but not if I have to pay $250

Sony is charging so much because they want to be in the cool position of making a profit on every system sold like Nintendo.

If this causes expanded PSP online functionality and much cheeper PSP games then I'm all for it. However, if it's just a "hey you can download games now for full price", then it's pointless.
