Kotaku is so freaking useless. So yesterday they post a headline about one of microsofts new studios MS Vancouver being shut down. In fact it seems that isn't the case and of the near 100 people there 35 people were let go as the projects they were working on (Microsoft flight and Project Columbia a Seasme street Tv style project) were cancelled in favor of putting more resources to the next gen core game the studio was working on.

And now today They are reporting the opening of MS London to work on casuel and free to play games. Hopefully those people who were let go are moved their or at the soho studio since project Columbia projects are the focus there and pro ably why vancobers project was cancled because it makes no sense for a core studio to waste resources on a project she. You have a specialized studio for that product style.

I have a question :

If I would buy the Season Pass for Gears of War 3, would it automatically give me all the DLC that has been released , or would I only get what new DLC comes out in the future (if any).

Pretty sure it will give you all the DLC you need.

Also got into the Fall 2012 dashboard beta. Though I find it odd that the beta sign up was only for a couple of hours whereas it usually runs a few days. Guess the smaller userbase will keep talk down.

It gives you all the DLC, just be sure to redeem the DLC in the Gears 3 menu ONLY, and not the marketplace!

Just noticed that Nuts and Bolts and Viva pinata are both $15 on xbox live. Guess I know what my next purchase will be.

At this rate ill have a sizable backlog.

As long as your backlog isn't as huge as mine, you'll have a chance to catch up someday! I'm beyond hope!

I've noticed in XBoX live that XBLA tittles are listed with price in MS points, while the rest are listed in €. Is there any reason for that? Any game purchased there is directly downloaded from there?

On the US store you have an option to pay with real money or MS points.

And any game you buy through the store you download from it?

Yep any game bought off the marketplace is a download.

Anyone here think that more games should "force" non party chat for game-modes? I think it is good fun and makes for better co-operation.

@Mandoble Just a tidbit, but you can play your downloaded games anywhere provided that you sign in to Xbox LIVE with your gamertag. The console you purchased your games on will stay on the console, whether it's connected online or not.

Thanks, already started getting games from Xbox Live, Mass Effect 1, Skyrim expansion and Viva Piñana to start with. That service is perfect to get these games that cannot be found in stores any more.

Looks like I won't be connected to X Box Live while I'm playing Banjo Kazooie this evening unless it gets fixed by then...oh well...
