No Mass Effect Sales on Steams Weekend Sale

Well I have 10 objectives complete now. (11 since I'd already done the recommendation and 15 games played objectives.)

Maybe someone in the NL community will finally win something from these sales?

Man, I'm not going to be entered in the 100 drawing. I've only got 6 done, but I'm trying for the 15 games thing, which'll make it 7. I only see 2 that I kinda can do. The Undergarden one (but I doubt I could run it) and the gifting one (I have no money)

Here are the ones I completed:

• 6th-7th: Self Portrait (avatar)
• 8th-9th: Friends With Benefits (10 friends), Go To Your Happy Place (play The Undergarden)
• 10th-11th: Join the Club (official group), Just Drop It (Droplitz score)
• 12th-13th: It's Better To Give (send a gift), Zombie Zoo (L4D2 Crass Menagerie)
• 14th-15th: Steam Gimme (free w00t)
• 16th-17th: Smack Talker (comment on a profile)
• 18th-19th: Suggestive Behavior (recommendation), Overachiever (play 15 games)

Not interested in any lame TF2 hats so I'm done.

@Xkhaoz That's a shame. I wasn't expecting the "treasure hunt" to let you achieve 10 objectives without owning some of the specified games or spending some money. Fortunately I already owned all of the games I made achievements for. I actually didn't spend anything during this sale.

I got 8 objectives now. I'm not too interested in the 100 games contest anyway. Got a cool TF2 hat though xD

I finally got BEAT to work on my aunt's new laptop, and it's all like mind-blow all over again.

I've completed my 10 objectives that allow me to be considered in the Grand draw.

Speaking of which, do you have to have a Wishlist of a hundred games for them to be fulfilled on winning the grand prize, or can you choose to redeem it (so to speak) as you go along?

But back to the ones I have completed:

• Self Portrait (6th & 7th)
• Up the Ante - Poker Night at the Inventory (6th - 7th)
• Friends with Benefits (8th - 9th)
• Go to your happy place (8th - 9th)
• Join the Club (10th - 11th)
• It's better to give (12th - 13th)
• Steam Gimmie (14 - 15th)
• Smack Talker (16th - 17th)
• Suggestive Behaviour (18th - 19th)
• Overachiever (18th - 19th)

I might be able to get the task linked with the Left 4 Dead 2 Achievement "Crass Menagerie", but I won't be able to get my second TF2 hat, unfortunately.

Even worse, the hat I unlocked for 5 objectives is glitched (the hat is invisible, but the treasure chest isn't). This annoys me.

Well, I'm guessing you will be able to choose the games you want after you've won, based on this quote from the page:

"Grand Prize Winners will receive a Steam subscription to one hundred (100) individual games available on Steam as of December 20, 2010, as chosen by the winner."

EDIT: Oh, and for those who are curios, here are the challenges I completed:

6 ^th - 7 ^th: Self Portrait & More Cowbell
8 ^th - 8 ^th: Friends With Benefits, Terminal Velocity, & Go To Your Happy Place
10 ^th - 11 ^th: Join The Club & Just Drop It
12 ^th - 13 ^th: Breaker, Breaker
14 ^th - 15 ^th: Steam Gimme & Beat It
16 ^th - 17 ^th: Smack Talker & Butter Me Up
18 ^th - 19 ^th: Suggestive Behavior & Overachiever

In total, that's 14 challenges completed. I'd say I have a fairly good shot, eh?

^ What sort of things will be on sale, do we know (sorry I'm new to Steam)? A price cut on Super Meat Boy would make my Christmas.

Unfortunately, Steam doesn't actually announce the sales ahead of time. It's usually a wild card as to what is on sale, unless the game developer announces on their personal website that their game is going to be on sale from X to Y.

I got 11 objective complete (yay!), but am not going to get 15, meh.

As for the Christmas sale, I am going to assume it is similar to last year's in that there will be additional deals each day. This includes games that may already be on sale throughout the holiday, so for best saving you should check in each day and then buy everything that wasn't a daily deal on the last day (when you know that the item you want will not go on sale cheaper).

Awesome, there is hope that Mass Effect will indeed go on sale. Two more days to wait too!

I second this statement. 100 games is a LOT of games. It'd be a shame to give up the opportunity.
