...really guys? Her hair cut? We don't all cut our hair like that.

Anyway, I almost want okami again for the box art and I really feel if Dragon's Crown can go to ps4 it really should go to switch.

Haircut->Lesbian does not imply Lesbian->Haircut.

A common case study in converse logic for most philosophy students.

@Ryu_Niiyama We weren't trying to offend anyone. I don't really think it's inaccurate that quite a few lesbians have haircuts like that, though. It's definitely less common for straight women to have short hair, although it does happen, of course.

Ryu_Niiyama

@KirbyTheVampire Not offended, although as a AA Lesbian I did raise an eyebrow at the direction the conversation was going. My hair is a natural short afro currently (for the ease of upkeep) by the way, lol. Although I would say the stereotype about short hair in general is pretty inaccurate to be honest. Women that aren't obsessed with performing social femininity wear their hair based upon their lives (professions, hobbies, activities). Although I would also suppose that depends on your definition of long hair.

For instance I consider shoulder length hair to be "short or average" because most women including those of us that are of African descent (our hair is often shorter than the averages of others due to how it curls) naturally grow their hair that long. Mine before I trimmed it down just reached my shoulders (my mother's is the same so it is inherited) while my sister who is straight as an arrow has hair cropped MUCH shorter than my own (I wouldn't dream of cutting my hair that short personally). This is anecdotal of course but most of the women in my family have short and often shorter hair than myself. And as far as I know so far I'm the only out member of the family.

@Dezzy Shrugs I've seen enough of your posts to not pay much attention to what you say.

Sigh, yeah I'm getting okami HD...again.

Edit: Because I had to turn this into a discussion. PLEASE DON't derail y'all, as that was not my intent.

My mother keeps her hair short, and people constantly assume she's a lesbian. It gets annoying.

Besides, enough women keep their hair short that it makes no sense to assume their sexual orientation based on that alone.

@Ryu_Niiyama Dragon's Crown on Switch would be great. It seems perfectly suited to handheld play. I know I enjoyed it on the Vita, and it would be even better on a larger HD screen.

Don't respond to them then!! There's an ignore button if you want it.

Ryu_Niiyama

@Ralizah Exactly, to both of your points but this is the needlessly sexualized world we live in. Honestly for most of us there is no "look" (except for short fingernails...I feel that is a valid stereotype LOL). If I said all straight men look a certain way I would get shot but whatever. sigh.

When I saw the Ps4 announcement I kept looking at the vita and thinking "they already did this on a handheld...how did a hybrid get vetoed?" I'm hoping that it will get ported later. DC is one of those games that I wished I'd bought on vita instead of PS3, but I wasn't willing to double dip. So I would love to have it (and the updated version of muramasa) on switch.

@Dezzy LOL not needed for your posts really. Also my original comment didn't @ either of you to keep the tone neutral on purpose. If you feel like you are being called out you may want to look at what you said and why. Have a nice day.

@Ryu_Niiyama Vanillaware released games on the Wii/DS years back, so there's no reason that I know of they can't do it again. I'd also like to see their new project, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, get ported to the Switch as well. That's also PS4/Vita. Unless there's Sony money involved, I don't see why they wouldn't want to release games on a system that is clearly popular in Japan and the U.S. right now.

KirbyTheVampire

@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah, for sure the long/short hair goes both ways. I just thought it was kind of a funny usage of the stereotype, although I do see how it could be annoying, since stereotypes tend to be annoying by nature. Either way, I apologize for any offense.

KirbyTheVampire

Ryu_Niiyama

@Ralizah Heh, forgot about 13 Sentinels. I'd been watching for news for it and then I started drowning in switch games. True enough about Vanillaware...they have a timeless art style and I'm sure they could port but I think at this point it is more of a ROI factor. We can dream though right? I will likely get 13 Sentinels on PS4 though. I think the vita is only portable for me when traveling. For my day to day I'll stick with the switch.

@KirbyTheVampire We're cool. Don't mind at all.

@Ryu_Niiyama Even if I'm only playing a system at home, I still find handhelds more comfortable as you can play them around the house, as opposed to being tethered to a TV.

Oh well. If 13 Sentinels plays as well on Vita as Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir did, then I'll just get it on that system, barring any rumblings of a possible Switch port.

And yeah, the art style in their games is incredibly lovely.

Ryu_Niiyama

@Ralizah so Odin Sphere turned out alright? (My copy is in shrinkwrap still...I need a clone) I never finished it the first time around. I was hoping for GrimGrimoire at some point though. I'm half blind (ROTFL!) so I prefer the TV whenever possible. I can honestly say the switch is the first handheld (although I consider it a hybrid same as Nintendo does) I've enjoyed. Vita was close with the screen size and clarity (OLED was fantastic!) but the buttons/joysticks aren't my cup of tea.

Kinda wish I'd known that Trails of Cold Steel I and II would get ports later....not sure what I'm going to do as I have the vita versions...so I have TV access. Hmm. Then again I just got the PC port of I so maybe I'll leave it at that.

@Ryu_Niiyama Odin Sphere is fantastic. A massive improvement over the PS2 original, considering the change to a more Muramasa-esque combat system. It also works really well on the Vita (I played it almost exclusively with the D-Pad, which worked brilliantly).

I mean, it is, of course, a massively repetitive game, but if you enjoy the grind, it's a lot of fun, and the thoughtful themes and wonderful storybook presentation make it incredibly memorable.

The biggest problem with Odin Sphere is how the areas are constructed / connected. Muramasa has more of a logic to how they were connected and a world map, but Odin Sphere just kinda feels dimensionless and it's hard to get a sense of your bearings with so many repeated areas and wallpapers.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

Less than 24 hours until Sony's TGS conference.

Grumblevolcano

Peek-a-boo

Easy Allies has a betting special for the Sony conference, and I would actually be happy if just one or two turns out to be true, given the rather dreamlike nature of them:

1. Will the Devil May Cry 5 trailer be in the first half of the second half, or will there be no trailer?
Damiani: No Trailer
Huber: No Trailer
Ian: First Half
Ben: First Half

2. Which game will get more screen time, Gran Turismo Sport or Ni no Kuni II?
Damiani: Gran Turismo Sport
Huber: Ni no Kuni II
Ian: Ni no Kuni II
Ben: Ni no Kuni II

3. Will we see gameplay of Resident Evil 2 Remake?
Damiani: No
Huber: Yes
Ian: Yes
Ben: Yes

4. Will a new Dragon Ball FighterZ character be revealed?
Damiani: Yes
Huber: Yes
Ian: Yes
Ben: Yes

5. New Platinum game? (as NieR: Automata was revealed at TGS 2015)
Ben: Happening
Damiani: Right
Huber: Right
Ian: Wrong

6. New Soulcalibur game? (as all Soulcalibur games were revealed at TGS)
Ian: Not Happening
Damiani: Wrong
Huber: Right
Ben: Right

7. New FromSoftware game? (as Bloodborne: The Old Hunters was revealed at TGS 2015)
Huber: Happening
Damiani: Right
Ian: Right
Ben: Right

8. New Team Ninja game? (as Nioh was re-revealed at TGS 2015)
Damiani: Not Happening
Huber: Right
Ian: Wrong
Ben: Wrong

Here’s hoping it is comparable to the Tokyo Game Show two years ago as opposed to the admittedly disappointing conference last year. I won’t be staying up, that’s for sure! I love my sleep too much to do so.

@Peek-a-boo ''I won’t be staying up''. You don't have to, just wake up early! 08:00 tomorrow morning for the UK peeps!

Anyway, I think we will see a new From Software and Platinum Games game too. Soulcalibur won't happen I think.

REmake 2
SOTC remake
Shenmue collection

Any of those would be awesome.
