This is a thread about platforming games and stuff like that. I personally like 3D platformers. Do you like platforming? Do you like older or newer plaformers?
Are Ratchet & Clank games considered as 3D platformer too ?
Third party 3D platformer games I have so far:
1. Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 Gamecube
2. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 Gamecube
3. Poi: Explorer edition Switch
4. New Super Lucky's Tale Switch
And Goodness knows
The wicked's lives are lonely
Goodness knows
The wicked die alone...
I am not a fan of 3D platformers but I love some of the old 2D ones like the NES ones:
1. Toki
2. Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 1 and 2
3. Darkwing Duck
4. The Addams Family - Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt
5. The Flintstones - The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy
6. The Flintstones - The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak!
7. Tiny Toon Adventures
I like platformers in general. Fan of the Sonic series, I also play the Super Mario games. Other ones I like include Rayman (played 1, 2, and 3 on PC) and Super Lucky's Tale. I played New Super Lucky's Tale on Switch and the port of the Xbox one, Super Lucky's Tale on PC.
As much flak as they get from people, I enjoy platformers based on cartoons I like. Just always had fun with them.
Platformers are my favourite genre. I usually go for Super Mario but I also like DK, platformer-related games on NSO (e.g. Kirby, Metroid), and the odd indie game.
@arnoldfranklin Cool. I remember getting Rayman 2 when my family first got a Windows PC and loving it. Years ago, I think I ended up getting the series for PC on GOG. Now I'm reminded, I have Rayman 3 GBA on Wii U's virtual console.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
I mostly enjoy Nintendo's offerings like Mario, DKC, & Kirby, but will occasionally play others as well.
Astro Bot: Rescue Mission (PSVR exclusive), New Super Lucky's Tale, & Ratchet & Clank (the PS4 reboot) are some of the best non-Nintendo platformers I've played in the past few years.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Platformers have always been my favorite genre of games, whether they're 2D or 3D. I like them both equally. It's partly because I have a lot of nostalgia for them! I love both 2D and 3D Mario platformers of course, but I also dig other games like Yoshi's Island, the Donkey Kong Country series, most 2D Sonic games (I like some 3D Sonic games too), most Mega Man games, Banjo-Kazooie, Crash Bandicoot (the original trilogy, at least), and Jak and Daxter. I like newer games like Shovel Knight, Celeste, Cuphead, and A Hat In Time as well.
May as well throw in all my favorite Mario platformers here too, because I can. My personal favorites are Super Mario World, All-Stars, 64, Galaxy 1 and 2, 3D World, and Odyssey.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, the R&C games pretty much are 3D platformers.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Yo, what's up?
I try to relive this thread.
So, I like Platformer genre in video games but I prefer 3D platformer than 2D platformer as I like to explore the beauty of 3D environments.
My favorite 3D platformer games:
1. Kao the Kangaroo 2022
2. Ratchet & Clank games
3. Sly Cooper games
4. Ty Tasmanian Tiger games
5. Smurfs Mission Vileaf
6. Smurfs Adventure 2
I don't put Mario Galaxy, Mario 3D Land / World, Super Mario Odyssey on the same list because I felt less impressed with these 3D Mario games compared with 3D platformer games by 3rd party games or other consoles.
If I rank all those 3D Mario games from the best to the worst, it will be like this:
1. Super Mario Odyssey
2. Super Mario 3D World
3. Super Mario 3D Land
4. Super Mario Galaxy 2
5. Super Mario Galaxy 1
And Goodness knows
The wicked's lives are lonely
Goodness knows
The wicked die alone...
