Alright, last night, I was playing Super Mario Bros. NES. I have been stuck on world 8 for the longest time. However, I made it to the end of Bowser's Castle a few times, so I knew what I would need to finally win. Flower-Power/Fireball Mario. I managed to make it to the end of world 8-4 and after killing the Hammer Bro, I had to time a jump just right to avoid a fireball bouncing in the lava and make it to Bowser. Well, I jumped at the wrong time. Something good happened though. I jumped into the fireball on accident, but once Mario gets hit when he is Flower-Power Mario or Big/Super Mario, he is invincible for a little while. I took advantage of this and ran straight through Bowser thus grabbing the axe and sealing my victory.
What is a strange way you have beaten a game? This can be anything from some kind of random spammy "hiding behind a rock while shooting the final boss" thing to a "my game glitched and (insert protagonist here) was able to not take damage" kind of thing. Any system. Any game.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
Killing Gannondorf on The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker in 11 seconds. It surprised me.
I think I did it by walking straight up to him them parrying as soon as possible, repeated this 2 or 3 times and link kinda stabbed him... It was a long time ago and I doubt I could do it again, I put it down to luck.
When my brother and I both connected our Game Boys together with a Link cable to do our first pokemon battle. My screen froze and for some reason the game must have glitched - because my brother was suddenly fighting a level 200+ tangela (level cap in-game is 100). He obviously lost and by default I win? :3
