There were rumours of Apple Sony recently. Now debunked.

I don't want an Apple Sony. I want the creativity of Nintendo to join with the business smarts of Sony. That way we get interesting consoles, like the 3DS and Wii, but backed with smarter business plans and better online capabilities.

I'm still ticked off we didn't get the PS3 boomerang controller. I loved the look of that thing.

They should release the boomerang controller as a Club Sony exclusive reward or something.

I love how impractically far apart those control sticks are. Not to mention--what use could this thing possibly serve?

Actually Ninetendo and Sony at one time did work together. A little known fact is that the Play Station (notice that is spelled as two separate words rather than the one word we are all use to) was going to be a CD add on to the SNES much like the Sega CD and the Genesis. Well at the last minute Nintendo decide to break the contract and make a deal with Philips instead. Rather than scrap the whole project Sony just went back to the drawing board and made the Playstation its own separate system. The reason for the name change from two words to one word is that the two words were copyrighted by both Nintendo and Sony. So in its kinda funny that Nintendo kinda created its own rival.

Actually, I think that was a misquote from a post. The post said that Apple could buy Sony, not that they wanted to buy Sony

I flopped like a beached whale upon the hard floor, hurting myself and the cat, who I flipped atop in the process. He ran away, and I'm not sure if it was because of the idea of Sony and Nintendo merging or he simply hated me at that moment.
