Topic: Sonic 2 HD

Apologies if this has already been mentioned. But I just came across this. This is an insanely impressive unofficial remastering of Sonic 2. So far they've only done the first 2 levels (download is at the bottom of the page)

I had more fun playing this for 5 minutes than I have on any official Sonic game for years! Someone tell Sega to hire these guys and release the whole game for the WiiU.

While it reminded me of all the reasons I'd never want to play a platformer with a keyboard and mouse... still this is like my favorite game ever, I'd take an HD remaster in any form I can get.

How long is that gaming going to last until Sega just decides to pull a cease and decist much like they did with that Streets of Rage 4 fangame.

Holy crap, I thought this project was dead! Glad to see it's not, though. I love the old Sonic games (and Advance, Rush, Colors, Generations, Adventure and Lost World, in case anyone thought I only liked the classic games)! Though that probably stems from them being the earliest games I remember playing.

@DiscoDriver43 Well Sega didn't do that with Sonic: Before the Sequel and the other two games in that trilogy. I don't know if this is any different.

well this is a remake of Sonic 2. So it'll probably interfer if Sega were to want to rerelease Sonic 2 for the umpeteenth time. Of course, Sega could just be like Capcom and endorse it like with Megaman X SF. but then again i doubt it.
