That's complete bull crap. Why would I want to buy for a digital copy when I already have a physical copy in good use? I don't see the point in this. Sony is trying to make profit out of all the Sony fanboys who do this. Also, is it true that the only way you can transfer your save data is if you use your PS3 or PC? If so, then what of the people who only have a PSP and little to no internet access?

Why would you need internet to transfer saves.
Also this for getting the games onto the VIta which doesn't use UMDs.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
Yeah, you don't have to rebuy the games. If you have the PSN version of a game it's not going to cost you anything to get it on Vita.
This is just that if you want to play your UMD games on the Vita, you need to pay a small (not even close to full price) fee to download it in digital form to a console that doesn't support UMDs.
Think of it like how people had to "rebuy" Ocarina of Time on the Wii, even if they had the N64 version already.
