Topic: Nintendo Life Playstation 3 Fan Thread

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm officially delaying my time that I'll purchase a Playstation 3. I am going to save up money for an Nintendo 64 first, my favorite system of all-time and get games for that systems, because there is a lot of N64 games that I'm wanting. The delay will be pushed to Q4 2010 to April 20, 2011. Now I haven't forgotten the Playstation 3, I just want to save up money for an Nintendo 64 first and then actually buy games for it.

I've been playing alot of White Knight Chronicles, despite the reviews I think its pretty good. Besides I need something to last me til FFXIII. I just finally finished Assassin's Creed II a week ago. I got platinum on it and I'm at 99% sych right now. I think I need memory 13 that comes out later this month to get 100%. Does anyone here have White Knight?

There are many places around where I live where they will accept people at 14. Is there a grocery store or something around where you live? Just get a temporary one, get what you want, then if you want to, quit. On minimum wage you will only have to work for maybe four weeks to get a PS3, if not less.

@RandomWiiPlayer: There is an store at Albertson, if that counts as a grocery store. I checked the minimum age for working and in Texas, you can work at age fourteen. I'm fifteen, so I should be old enough. I'll ask my grandparents about this later.

And while it could take me maybe four weeks to get the money for an PS3, that's only if I put all my money towards it. It's going to take a lot longer then that because I have to help my family out by giving them half of the money I earned towards them (We're in an serious economic crisis), keep three-fourth of the money toward more important things then video games, and even then, I'll be using my entertainment money for an Nintendo 64 (70% of my entertainment money) and Wii games (25% of my entertainment money), and other things (The last 5%). So yeah, it'll take a while. However, I can assure you that I will get an Playstation 3. Even after all that, I will keep my job and my money for entertainment will continue to dwindle as college apporach me.

@Ben..... yep, There are some reviews Ive read with very good things to say about it. I think with the like of FF13 it has the feel of just another RPG but it looks interesting. Not my cup of tea, but for anyone that is a but JRPG fan, Im sure its a game worth having.

I was a janitor at my parents' church when I was 14....wasn't too bad of a gig either. And it paid 8 bucks an hour back then--far cry from minimum wage, as are most jobs if you search around a bit. I'd look for a garden center or something like that--the fact that some of the job entails outside stuff/occaisional lifting/cleaning tends to mean it pays better, and they normally hire youngins too. And the jobs are joke-easy--then again, almost everything on that side of the employment pond is almost insultingly easy. It makes the 40 year old life's-reject's complaints about how he deserves more for all the hard work he does even more fun to laugh directly at. Plus if you get him to swing at you, that lawsuit should buy your PS3 in no time

And I'm one of the few Americans that played the FF13 demo. I loved it. Very psyched for the game, esp. since it's the first we've seen a non-animetarded strong female character since Tina/Terra in 3/6j. Celes was a hardass too...

@Swerd... dude really,even when I enjoyin being back in Rapture so much, I still cant wait to get Heavy Rain. Man the demo rocked so much, then Battlefield 2 shortly behing.... and I still got Borderlands, and Sigma 2 and the new Ratchet to crack into, its just starting off to be a awesome year.

I worked in the local library when I was 14. It was a job well suited to my skills (I'm good at sorting things, especially alphabetically; matter of fact, that's still my favorite task at GameStop), but I was young and stupid, and squandered it, AKA got fired for sitting around reading instead of working. Ah, life's great lessons, eh?

In case people don't know yet: Trine is half-off on PSN this week only (started yesterday, runs through Wednesday)! I downloaded it, 'cause that price is just too good to pass up!

I finally played the Heavy Rain demo, too (yeah, after a whole two-day wait). Pretty sweet stuff. I DO hope there's less screen tearing in the full retail release, though...it seemed a bit much of muchness to me.

@Sean: What, you can't just get the GOTY edition that has all the DLC included? It's a MUCH better deal that way, and you don't have to choose!

@Sean: Well, just remember...it'll be a savings in the long run to get the GOTY edition. I don't know how the prices go in Euros, but it's $50 altogether to download the DLC (plus $30 for the basic game), vs. $60 to buy the GOTY edition. A total no-brainer, really. Ya gotta be forward-thinking, man!

Would there be a chance of getting Fallout 3 GOTY pre-owned??

@Sean: Good choice! You MIGHT be able to find it used, but I really have no idea for sure. No idea how your shops work either...would it even be worth the price difference? It'd only be $5 in an American GameStop.

I want a game that will last me atleast more than 10 hours. Most games today have short SP modes but FO3.....oh boy....its all about SP and exploring!! ^^

Surprisingly they were out of stock on Fallout 3 GOTY so what choice did I have? lol
Oh well saved me some moneyz lol

Does that include the PSP version?...no, of course not. Why the heck does the PSP never get promotionals like this?? Oh well, I already have the PC version anyways. I highly recommend everyone with a PS3 give flOw a download. It's an interesting an unique game that you just gotta try. And hey, it's free, so why not.
