Topic: Nintendo Life Playstation 3 Fan Thread

Guys, sorry I kinda got worked up and started a console war, I was having a pretty crappy day and then found out about the MW2 DLC stuff and shouldnt have posted. I apologize and glad you guys are getting the thread back on track.
...... For the record though, before me and my wife were married her and her brother lived together and we are very good friends and I bought the PS3 and he got the 360, He now has a PS3 for a main system and I recently borrowed the 360 again form him, but for years we played the 360 daily and I have a lot of experience with the system and it IS a very good system and Ive never said it isnt. Ive been a fan of Sony since the PSX days because of their willingness to back very risky titles, such as Demon Souls Its just a personal opinion and not to mention Socom 2 has always been one of my favorite online games. Ive never understood why people get so irate about system or try to go on and on about theirs is the best. Who cares, play the thing and if you dont like the other then dont worry about it. I am annoyed by the devs developing for the same game on multi systems and then DLC on only one or bias to one. I think its bad for the gaming buisness.

Darksiders has gotten EXTREMELY HIGH REVIEWS, but havent played it yet.

FF14 Ive heard very little about it, Im not a FF diehard.

Demon Souls on the other hand is still Flippin Incredible. My brother went out and bought it after watching me play it and we going to get some on tonight. Its such a well balanced game and one stat point actually does make a huge difference. So much love went into this game. Ive been gaming for a long time and there are so few game that come out like it. Im loving it.

... Oh, anyone else getting annoyed by the stupid running guys and dual shotguns in MW2?

Is anyone planning on getting White Knight Chronicles? I've been following this game since around the PS3's launch...but despite the looming release date (beginning of February) no one seems to know it exists. I haven't preordered it quite yet but I'm 90% in-the-door.

Can't go wrong with the Uncharted series. I'd start off with that.

Then you have Valkyrica Chronicles if you like RPGs, Metal Gear Solid 4 if you like cinematic actiony games, Infamous if you like sandbox superhero games.

The list goes on and on and on. I'm excited for the both of us!

It's one of those games that sounds nice and looks nice but I don't know hardly anything about it and last time I thought a RPG looked good, it turned out to be Demon Souls...

@Alex - exactly my feelings...I like everything I've seen, I just haven't seen a lot (despite looking). I actually heard Demon's Souls was a lot of fun...

And yeah, get Infamous. Story was so much fun to experience...everything about that game worked for me (which is good, cause it takes a bit of rose-tinted-glasses-dom to overlook the sheer multitude of irritating graphical glitches)

Yeah I heard it's fun too, it's just not my type of game.

I have a few games so I like to play one for a bit, and quickly move on to another.

Well with RPGs like Tales of Symphonia (my favorite RPG this gen, actually) on the Wii, I can play it kinda quickly and breeze through and everything is lovely.

A game like Demon Souls requires time and time and effort and then some time. Then you see the next level. lol

It's just too much for me. If White Knight is like that I'll pass but if it has a nice story and a normal difficulty, and it plays nice, I'll give it a go.

Oh and I loved Infamous. One of the few games this gen (along with Tales 2) that I played just about non-stop till I was finished because I loved it so much.

I don't really know what to expect from White Knight. I didn't even know it was coming out so soon. I'll have to look into that -- let me know if you play it, Swerd. My PS3 has been collecting dust for too long, and 3D Dot Game Heroes is too far away. I'd love to be playing Uncharted 2 like the rest of the PS3-owning population, but I was just too terrible at the first one to justify picking it up. And I really wish there was a Tales game on PS3 or Wii, other than the Symphonia sequel since I didn't play the original. Oh well.

I played the second Tales first, and the first second, and everything in the first was in the second that I played first.

They pretty much explain the entire story (much better than the above sentence) so new people are all caught up.

Yo, thanks dude. Apparently they showed off a trailer at Jump Festa, so chances are we'll see more of it soon. I seriously can't wait! I might have to get a PS3 someday just to play it. Or borrow a friend's.

That's good to know, haha. Looks like it goes for under $20 on Ebay, too, so why not. Think I'll finally get this, after all.

I just did a walkthrough on Crash 3 and it is still as fun if not more fun than i remember..

only if it was like the first one... second and third are WAY too easy, I'd much rather have remakes of the GBA games for WiiWare, those were the best ones in the series, perfectly balanced....

A 3D platformer that doesn't kick my @$$ up and down the block and causing my to toss my controller in frustration? I'm in.

oh come on it isn't THAT hard... only a couple of gems required some skill... the game can be beaten in a single sit down anyway

@Sean....... HHHHEEEEELLLLLLZZZZZ YEAH I would. More Crash 2 with a little of the PS2 Crash games thrown in, oh and some Cart Racing..... Im so down. I want a new Crash so bad its not funny. I actually played through Crash 2 again last year for old times sakes. I love that game. It and Jet Moto is what hooked me into Playstation. The polar bear levels were absolutely fantastic.

This equals the Best Christmas Ive ever had, BUT also means Im not buying another game until 3D Dot Game Heroes and yes that mean I will sadly be catching up on Bioshock 2 and God of War 3 later in the year, but oh I will eventually get there. White Knight Chronicles is another must have on my books. OPSM has a 4 page (i think it was) article I read on it and its looking fantastic.

...... oh and my wife walked in with Final Fantasy Dissidia last week she found on sale for $20, so its not in the pic. Even longer to buying a new game I am picking up $100 in PSN cards in a few weeks to last me for a couple of months, lots of DLC for some of these games.

...I never said it was hard. I just suck a platformers and I never really enjoy them unless they're super easy, like pretty much every one on the PS2 and Gamecube were(hence why I consider them the best consoles ever).
