@Aviator: Hey Aviator, I'm sorry that I could not join you guys in Wipeout. I tried to join the race via the invite but kept getting kicked out because I do not have the Fury pack DLC yet. I am downloading it right now. I hope that I can still join you guys.

oh mah gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad

Infamous 2 is so flippin' gorgelorious. Wreckin people with ice power is the most legit thing in the entire universe. New Cole voice threw me at first, but after like 15 minutes you're so engrossed in the new touched-up style that it's a distant memory.

Why doesn't the entire world own PS3s?

I just beat infamous yesterday so now I can't wait to infamous 2 after I beat the evil story. (Even if killing people and such with a red sky is kinda depressing D:)

@slap - wow man. Can't say I've ever done more than glance at the title of an Ace Combat game, but I'll be damned if that didn't look like a metric ton of fun. Come on raise--I need you now more than ever!

@turt - you won't be disappointed. Well, I wasn't. Why do people say that? Let me rephrase.

You might be disappointed, but if your opinions run even-the-smallest-amount-of congruently to mine, I can't see that as a possibility. There we go--bases covered.

Is anyone else considering buying that Battle: Los Angeles blu-ray just to get a chance to see Resistance 3 in action as soon as humanly possible? The movie looks....well...it's a movie....but I've been borderline-obsessed with Resistance 3 for going on 2 weeks now.

I'm at the end of the Chicago mission in Resistance 2, and my gawd the game kicks it up a notch about 5-hours in. I'm really enjoying the game immensely and I can't wait until Resistance 3 arrives!

@Swerd Dude, Ace Combat games are the stuff! You've really got to have a 360 to get the real fun out of the HD titles, but this one takes the franchise up about thousand degrees! I can't wait.

I'm still so flipping stoked about BioShock: Infinite getting Move support! Hopefully, I'll land an interview with Ken Levine himself soon!

Oh, anyone else excited about the new 2D Rayman coming to PSN?

AND, where is the Beyond Good and Evil HD love from you Brits? It is on the EU PSN, with a demo!

That's a shame...are they poorly optimized graphically for PS3 or something? If that's the case I'd get the PC version....prob would anyway given the game type. I could finally break out the flight stick I got in 2002 and haven't used since

@Waltz - never played any of the Atelier games...was late to the game getting a PS2 and they all looked too hyper-cutesy. Games that attempt that anime style tend to irritate me almost immediately barring perfect execution. I also don't like jumping into a series with the fourth game or whatever one this is--if there were a good economical way to play the series start to finish I might give it a shot...granted I'd need a second life to have time for that right now, but a guy can dream can't he?

I just placed my preorder for Catherine at GameStop today. Anyone else excited about this game? I'm also definitely buying No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise on day one. I had a really hard time deciding between Catherine and Shadows of the Damned because three brand new PS3 games would put a pretty big hole in my wallet. I do love Suda51, but Catherine actually looks more my style. I'm already wondering if I made the right decision, though, the more I think about missing out on a Suda51 game on release, and especially the soundtrack.

It's worth pointing out that the developers of this series is Gust - as in the same one as the Ar tonelico Qoga series. What's cutesy on the surface is borderline offensive underneath.

There are parts of the story you need to just grimace and move on. The core gameplay is really sound and original.

The games are all independent, too - you can play one without needing to play the others. I myself only started with this series with Atelier Rorona. I've gone back and played some of the others, but really this is a series that is getting better with age anyway, so now is a good time to jump in.

@ Grensworth - I've played Shadows for a couple of hours and... really worth getting. I don't like Suda's games, but that one really hooked even me.

With that above in mind as a disclaimer - I did not enjoy No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise at all. I scored it 2/5.

@Waltz
I know your opinions on NMH, but it's one of my favorite games on any system, so I'm looking forward to it. I'm just not a big fan of that dark, epic style that Shadows of the Damned seems to be. I'm sure I'd love it, since Suda hasn't disappointed me yet (though I'm not a big RE fan, except for RE4)

Oh for sure - I know there's a big niche out there that love NMH, and I'm pretty sure this one will live up to expectations.

There's nothing about Shadows of the Damned that's epic. It's B-grade grindhouse through and through. It is incredibly dark and violent though - not in the toon way that NMH is. Shadows of the Damned is brutal.

grenworthshero

Oh, I am a big fan of ultra-violent video games, so bring it on. Hopefully they'll have a demo of Shadows of the Damned on PSN so I can check it out before I shell out yet another $60.
