@Swerd Oh, Ace Combat didn't make its way onto the PS3 for some reason. The PS2 and PSone era games were still awesome too though.

@grensworthhero Enjoy! I'm not a fan of the ultra-violent types of games, but for those of you that are, Suda51 is amazing.

I thought I had cancelled my infamous 2 hero edition and I ordered another one the day before it came out. I went to the post office today and had two waiting on me. I feel stupid lol.

It had vanished from my orders list, but the orders list i was looking at was only for the last 30 days lol

well I was recently gifted a ps3 from my brother (got Little big planet and inFAMOUS part of the welcome back deal) only thing is, the bluray laser died... again. lol (of course I'll replace it eventually... maybe.)

but anyway I got to say, I loved Little big planet, I thought it was a very unique and awesome platformer. and inFAMOUS is a lot of fun. Starting to like the ps3 a little :3

@Waveboy You should give the original BioShock a go then too! It's one of the best game I've ever played, and the best I've played in the last good 10 years or so. Ken Levine is a mastermind, and the way he brings the worlds he creates to life is terribly captivating, because the worlds are so unique and disturbing, but yet they feel familiar as well with aspects of American culture and history seamlessly infused into them.

Bioshock! So good...like Metroid Prime except enemies can actually hit you! And NO SCANNING! cheers And the game doesn't force then next location down your throat against your will the entire game long So there's actual exploration too! Eat that post-Super Metroid series games.
Resistance 1, 2, 3 > FPSes (maybe not Half Life 2). It's almost a fact, but I need to wait for R3 to ensure that this opinion is indeed fact, as all of mine are.

So I played the free PS+ Oddworld game....

Why did anyone ever buy these games? It's like lemmings and Prince of Persia, but controls way worse than either of the above. 5 minutes into the first area and I was offended that it was taking up 700-odd megs on my PS3. Just a complete waste of gaming time. Voiceovers seemed decent for the time, but it's hard to care about the story in a bland 2d-scrolling Prince of Platformersia-er when your character sounds like a horrible attempt at parodying glados from Portal.

So yeah--Oddworld sucks. Don't waste your time. I'm not even gonna waste the bandwidth for free Lilo and Stitch....and I doubt I'm renewing PS+ after this month. It's been interesting, but so far everything I've gotten on sale has been really sub-par (the Thor minis game, Ricochet HD (TERRIBLE), Cubixx) and the free stuff hasn't lasted more than 2 minutes of gameplay before insta-deletion.

Yep, I find it extremely curious as to why they gave away a free month of PS+ and gave complete garbage away for it. I don't know if I'll renew my subscription for it again either. I don't have time for all the games anymore, and honestly I've barely played any of them that I've gotten in the last 6 months or so.

o_O Don't listen to this guy at all! The Oddworld games are fantastic. Great art, style, characters, and really fun gameplay.

I'm not sure what your problem is...Did you not get past the first level? That's just tutorial stuff, it gets loads better. And you don't have to rescue the guys if you don't want to, they play a rather small role in the gameplay.

Yeah, PS+ will no longer be mine when my subscription runs out. And Oddworld games do suck, imo, as well.

I haven't started my free month of PS+, I am going to wait until the last minute. I thought the benefits would be better after most peep's have relinquished their + status.

Oh, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is awesome!!! Just started playing that this weekend B-D

I actually laughed out loud here. Characters look like a cutesy attempt at a Tim Burton reject, and the rendered in-game sprites, despite taking up way too much space, look like something Donkey Kong Country would've been embarassed to include. Ugly game and uninspired visual design.

Eh. OK. Irritating vocals and "Heylow!" every time I talk to someone...granted, I didn't get very far (level 3 I think? Lost track/desire to care) and hadn't experienced much story, but it has that post-SNES "we're trying too hard to be movie-quality" feel to it and just came off as bottom-shelf.

What gameplay? Slowly running between screens, unable to move or jump where you want due to Prince of Persia-era movement restrictions? It's not 1989. I want actual control of my character. On the tutorial level I was expected to understand that I was to jump up to grab something I couldn't see, requiring four attempts while I slowly inched forward, only to realize I was supposed to jump up in the only part that didn't look like there was anything to grab above me.

As stated above, I think I was in the third area (during my unwarranted second try at this dogsh*tpile of a game) when I realized eating poison-filled gumballs would be more fun than playing this game. So I guess my problem would be playing games that suck? If you want to, go ahead. I'll be playing Infamous 2 and actually enjoying the time I spend with my PS3.

Atelier Rorona is becoming hard to find. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up sooner than later!

I actually liked the Oddworld games. I do have to admit that they're not going to be everyone's cup of tea, especially if you don't care for the art style..

Played that Sackboy's Something Move game earlier. Kinda cool...not too life changing, but I wasn't expecting much. Sadly the best thing I got from PS+, so consider that coffin nailed. Nice try Sony--you will get no more of my money to allow me an opportunity to spend even more of my money.

Not sure if I mentioned this but I published a level in Little Big Planet 2! Its called Space Jump. Its a low gravity platformer and is pretty cool so please try it out!

Magic: The Gathering is for free right now on PS+, score! 100%'d this on XBLA, and well under way to doing the same on PSN. Also, Streets of Rage 2 is free for PS+ as well, double score! Another game I 100%'d on XBLA, haha.

Beyond Good & Evil HD finally hits PSN next Tuesday! You get free avatars if you buy it within the first two weeks of launch.

@SilentJ It's only like $10 on XBLA too. I think I'm actually going to get it for the Xbox as I've got a good bit of unused points over there, but nonetheless I can't wait to see this release on PSN!

Outland is getting great reviews, I'm definitely going to be checking it out soon too!
