Thanks for the recommendations! I'll put this on my to-buy list
@turtle: Um... I did try it. Did you not read my post? Unless you mean just buy it to see if it's good, which I never do and I only get mad when you capatilze it btw >:3
@Fuzzy: Ooh, that's good then about the recap stuff And I was just talking about the camera controls, not the gameplay itself.
I just haven't played a fun 3D platformer in a while besides SMG1 and 2, and the demos were... great
@zez - Crack in Time is great! The whole series, while quite fun to look at/interesting, has always been a wee bit stale (the world just always feels a bit empty imo) despite being solid and pretty fun.
Crack in Time fixes all that. The semi-open world structure, simple-yet-awesome space-fight sections, and powerups (GRAV BOOTS!) make the game an absolute blast. The time puzzles are nasty too--as soon as you get the ability to run the challenge trials it becomes an entirely different game...been stuck on one for like 2 hours.
SOOO! Dunno if you guys heard, but to celebrate reaching 20,000 twitter subscribers (I think) for Japanese Square Enix, they're gonna release Chrono Cross on PSN! It's only confirmed for Japanese PSN at the moment, and there's no release date listed to my knowledge....but still--this is the most positive thing I've heard about PS1 Classics in months!
If we get Vagrant Story and Threads of Fate, my life will be complete. Musashi wouldn't hurt either but I actually own the disc...VS and ToF were both stolen by the infamous ex-roommate-friend RPG bandit.

@Swerd.... yep I did hear that one. As for Vagrant Story, you can get it off the Europe store quite cheaply. Japanese PSone Imports have been great lately and for me I want to see BF Musashi, Einhander and a few more make it over here for me to be completely happy. CTR was a great Freebie from PS+ this past week too.
UPDATE: The Sam and Max issues continue and Sony had a Tweet on Twitter that said that codes would be sent out via email and some did get them (not me) but if you call Sony about it they say "Don't trust everything you see from PlayStation on Twitter" and "We don't know who sent that tweet out"! Fishy? I think so. Anywho, the codes are suppose to be sent out tonight again to more people as for some reason only a select number are being sent out per day. I don't know but it's all a bit crazy and honestly a bit dissapointing!
It could be worse though, to say the least I could have easily been killed at work today as we had a massive explosion and it was like maybe 100ft below me. While running my fool head off the ship I realized that a 1000+ gallon tank of gas was being engulfed in flames/smoke. Had that blown, it would have been it for me. Scared the bejezus out of me! Nobody was hurt miraculously, and let me tell you I had more adrenaline pumping today than any video game has ever given me.

@turtle: Nah, I'll like it. I played through both the Ratchet and Clank demos 3 times each
Though to tell the truth (so many 't's D:) I enjoyed the Clank demo more, even though Ratchet will probably have the most parts in this game.
Edit: Also tried the Tales of Graces demo, and it was fun Haven't ever played any Tales games before, so I didn't really know what to expect.
I didn't know there was a demo, I'll have to try it if/when I get a PS3. The Tales of Vesperia demo isn't very good on the 360. It has the hardest bossfight in the entire game. That actually turned me off it for a long time, but now I'm a bit interested.
@slap - looks like i'll have to use my dummy-euro account to get vargrant story....ideally i'd really like to keep everything on the US account, but I wanna play it really badly and the game got knicked close to 5 years ago now...
That's insane about what happened btw--glad you made it out alright! If we weren't so close to the event I'd make a Slappy-escapes-the-boat game for you...but that hardly seems appropriate.
Or is it? Never been in a similar situation--no idea what the boundaries are.
fyi - if any of you really wanna see the tales series, I stronly suggest the first game, Tales of Phantasia. Realizing it came out in 1994 (I think) really puts it in perspective--game was amazingly ahead of it's time, and still has (imo) the best storyline of any in the series.

@Swerd.... Lol, no worries, I was inside the boat when the initial blast went off (which was insanely loud) and it became this game of "what the heck was that" questioning as we have massive cranes lifting thousands of pounds of equipment and steel on and off the ship constantly all day, and I thought a cable had broken and something fell on the ship. This is a big ship, 1000ft long and over 100ft tall, but something just didn't feel right about it as the sound had a rumble to it and it wasn't right, so myself and a few guys went to mid-deck to see and right when I got there this guy came running in screaming "Get the F*** off the ship" and then the alarms started blaring and it's run like hell for your life, that requires running down 80ft of column stairs outside the ship and as soon (directly under where I was on the ship) as I got to the stairs I realized that the blast had happened outside the ship about 100ft up from where I was on the stairs and a massive tank of gas was being engulfed in it, and it was run like hell and pray that tank didn't blow and thankfully it didn't. Nobody was hurt at all somehow which is a miracle in itself. It was such a big blast that it knocked stuff off my uncles wall of his house a mile away!
I know my job is in the top ten most hazardous jobs in our country0, and it's the third on that list Ive worked in. High risk jobs pay very well, and when I decided med school wasn't for me, even though I had good grades, I went into the workforce to pay-off the loans and then go back, but I never went back Lol. My job is actually really low-key, as I'm a Pipefitter and it's mostly working with your head and being really good at math, well if your good at knowing how to Pipefit by the books it makes your job easier. I'm starting Engineering classes in January and that is why I'm where I'm at because you learn the Pipefitting trade and then go into Engineering and you have a massive upper-hand. I'm hoping I'll like it, if not I'll finish up my Business Degree and Store Manage/ Own a local game store or something. I want to try out this engineering though. Its easy to forget just how dangerous it is in my job, as I work with thousands of others and many young females 18-25 yrs old, and then something insane as this happens and it's a sharp reminder that it's not always yourself that will get you killed but what someone else does!
no need to worry guys, in a recent article the folks at IGN revealed the UC3 single player campaign will stay as a singleplayer campaign! no co op in that, but there will be other modes for it
I didn't buy Einhander for some reason and I've regreted it ever since. I will more than likely buy a Japanese PSN card and grab it if it doesn't show up on NA PSN soon.

I don't think it's even out on the PS3 yet. But yes, it tanked. It's sad that it did, but it did. In fact, it might be the only FF game I'll ever skip unless they fix its problems.
@Mickey.... I don't think it has released on PS3, I'm not sure as I have no interest in it at all. I don't get into MMO games and I'm not a big Final Fantasy fanatic either. I like JRPG type games over the American style games.
REMINDER! I just backed up my Game Saves to a USB again and I figured I'd give a reminder to you guys that if you haven't done it in awhile, it never hurts
@Slapshot. Good idea. Imma do that now. I finally beat Sonic Adventure! Awesome game with a great soundtrack! I recommend it to anyone who likes Sonic games. Beware though, the camera is pretty bad. Same with the animations. Also, tomorrow while I go Christmas shopping, I'm gonna pick up a PSN card and get Scott Pilgrim! Can't wait!
@HolyMackerel Lol! Love the look on the PS3's face in the end.
@Slapshot Man, glad to hear you're ok. I just got a brand new USB stick so I'll be backing up my game saves for sure. U3 looks like it's gonna be freakin' awesome.
Oh yeah, I'm not knocking the series at all. I'm not one of the people who has a genre that's not my cup of tea and not want it to exist. I know the series is fantastic and has a massive fan-base. I enjoyed reading all the FFXIII info that was in this thread when it released, I just know it's not my type of game, so I don't invest in them too often.
I do think SqEnix will be better off leaving the FFMMO to the wayside though. There are other great MMOs out there readily available that it appears the FF franchise can't overcome there fan-base.
