Not sure, Stuff. I think I was in Chapter 11, in some underground training facility sort of thing? If I remember right, at the end of Chapter 10 you get the ability to change party members at will (and about damn time), then there's a huge boss fight with a god or something (the story makes absolutely no sense) that is surprisingly not that hard. Then he's all "Oh, even though you just kicked my butt, you haven't won, blah blah, generic villainous non-sense, when is the gaming industry going to hire real writers so I can get better lines, I deserve better than this," and you get sent to some sewer-like place (maybe not a sewer, I don't remember), at the end of which is some character who is supposed to be familiar but absolutely isn't, and he turns on you for some unknown reason (if he wasn't an enemy the whole time, who knows?).
I'm sure that was extremely helpful.
Oh yeah, I remember that guy. Yeah, you're not on chapter 11 yet.
Anybody else ever had the problem where there controller would not turn on even while hooked up to the system? Tried resetting controller and didnt do nothing for it. You would think it would turn on while hooked up to the system even if the battery was completely dead.

@Adam: I had no particular trouble with the Raines fight; you just have to realize that paradigms with a Sentinal are EXTREMELY useful against him (and going forward through the rest of the game, really). Combat Clinic (two Medics and a Sentinal) is particularly helpful for when he uses that super ray attack and your party needs healing FAST! But I guess all that doesn't really help a guy who doesn't even have the game anymore.
@Mickeymac: I agree with WaltzElf that smart play is what really gets you though. The difficulty only REALLY spikes if you don't learn how to use paradigms that were previously unnecessary; most of them involving Sentinals, as I just mentioned.
The story grinding to a halt is something I'm used to in JRPG's, and I don't really have a problem with it. In fact, I relish it just for the chance to explore, do side quests, or whatever. I would describe this game more like a pretty good granola bar that suddenly turns into an awesome ice cream sandwich...or something.

Regarding Josh's problem: @Mickeymac: Spoken like an Xbox gamer, for sure. He mentioned "even while hooked up to the system." On the PS3, that IS how you resync; you plug it in using the USB charge cable, and it syncs automatically.
I've never had that problem, so I can't help you, Josh. I guess the controller could be dead or something. Shrug.

I just read a funny/depressing article listing reasons publisers turned down Joe Danger. It's the absurdity of some of the reasons that's funny, but the depression sets in when you realize that the idiots who originated these quotes run large chunks of the gaming industry (I'm positive the fourth one was Activision).
Now, I don't know very much about this game and have ignored it partially because of the price tag and lack of demo, but that article says it sold 50,000 downloads in the first week. That's not bad, IMO, and it suggests that the game is popular (by $15 PSN game standards, at least). And of course, one or two people on this thread have mentioned it without giving much actual information. So who thinks those publishers might start to regret turning the game down, especially those who might have been able to get the developer to go multisystem?

@ stuff.... aye your were the one who said you didn't mind this new higher price increase on PSN games I for one do. That added five bucks is a big turn off. Heck after reading on Death Spank for months i didn't buy. Joe Danger is one of the few games on PSN worth the extra money.

At least two attempts I made featured a Sentinel in all but one or two paradigms, Stuffy. I realize its use. I tried a bazillion different formations, and I was lucky when he got down to half health. He would sometimes use an attack that would kill someone in one or two hits that I just could not heal fast enough or defend well enough. I skipped a lot of battles in the flying base thing earlier though, so I was probably underleveled, though I had little trouble getting to him, so I don't think that was the only problem. I don't remember. Doesn't matter now, don't have the game anymore.
@Slappy: If a game has enough content/is made well enough, it can be well worth the $15. Having played the DeathSpank demo last night, I can safely say it's DEFINITELY one of them. The trick is actually KNOWING something about it. Maybe I've missed some easily available information, but I really don't know much about Joe Danger, and it's the lack of a demo that's the REAL turn-off.
@Stuffgamer, you must hate me don't you? Every time i'm doing something that requires the top right screen, StuffGamer1 is now online/offline I also noticed that every time you come off, Odd69 comes on. Somethings up....
You can't honestly think that one-line throw quotes constitute reasons why a publisher would turn down a game?
FFS, these are businesses. They make business decisions. Yes, sometimes they get it wrong, but a business decision is not five throwaway words. A business decision is documents full of stuff, backed by market analysic, R & D dollars and so on and so forth.
This is the problem with journalism in the Internet world. Sigh. The fact stuff like this gets linked to, or treated seriously in any form, is what's depressing.
@ stuff... lol I'm just giving you a hard time Joe danger is literally what you get it excitebike and trials had a baby lol. Im going to play the deathspank demo tonight. I still prob not getting it until it gets a psn+ sale price though.

It was still good for a laugh, even if it was obviously taken out of context/exaggerated/wrong.

Its a conspiracy!!!! J/K I decide to game at the weirdest times
@everyone I agree with stuffy DeathSpank is worth the 15 bucks . I was laughing in my first ten minutes of gameplay. Not too many games can do that for me, Im actually surprised that this game is worth the asking price. 15 bucks is alot of money, but this is also kinda big for a downloadable title. Diablo meets Monkey Island is a very accurate description.

Good for a laugh is one thing. As long as people aren't taking that story seriously, it's all good
