Topic: Nintendo Life Playstation 3 Fan Thread

So, some of the PS3 games I've completed now that I have one:
Resistance (pretty bland imo), Force Unleashed (not as great as it was made out to be).

I'm on the very last level of Heavenly Sword, very frustrating at times. Also stuck in Afro Samurai, uneven difficulty throughout and I'm half-playing it because I like the license, which is a little sad, I know.

@OB... yeah Im a little dissapointed in The Force Unleashed myself. I just havent drug myself to finally beat it yet lol. This is coming from a HUGE Star Wars fanatic. I have tons of collectibles, games and about to get Boba Fett put into a nice ink job on my leg pretty soon Heavenly Sword is about to finally hit my PS3 slot pretty soon. Im actually looking forward to playing it finally. It took me awhile to find a copy localy.

@Strofan.... there has been many a discussion over the last year here about how great the game is. I was considering it but I grabed Disgaea 3 and will start in the next few months more than likely. That all is considering how bad the mw2 sets in come MAY 4th and we get our new maps lol.

I'm still stuck on World at War to even think about playing Modern Warfare 2, I'm very behind on online FPS. Ever since i bought killzone 2 and listening to all the hate and rude comments from people on their headsets, just kinda killed it for me ,Add that to every online shooter and playing them for years I just had enough. The controls, i thought were horrid in Killzone 2, so i sold it and really haven't looked back.
So now i like FPS's that are based around co-op rather than all just competitive, like Borderlands being a prime example (and Resistance 2). I love RPG shooters Like Bioshock, Bioshock 2( i'll own soon enough), Fallout 3.

Every now and then i like to play Unreal Tournament or Team Fortress 2(orange box) for some ole fashioned competitive whoop ass.But I will always mute anyone with a headset if i do.Edit: and get pwned alot

Thank you dude,I'm sure he will be found and safe. He is a grown man though so this makes it more odd on how he has gotten lost on holidays.

Anyone see that a PS3 magazine has says Portal 2 is coming to the PS3??
I found it on kotaku and it was interesting. lol

And I'm back to playing Fallout 3.
I so want the Mothership Zeta DLC badly. lol

@Odd.... Sweet man. My brother in law is fixing to buy Bioshock 2 as well. Man Im looking forward to getting some online games on with you guys. After playing online with so many people on MW2, its strange playing with completel strangers all the time on Bioshock 2 lol.
As for Killzone 2. Im sorry but its the most OverRated piece of Garbage on the PS3 in my opinion. The controls are absolutley horrid and the constant waves of enemies is just ridicilous. I HATE that game with a passion. MW2, its best quatlity is it incredibly spot on controls, it just makes everything great.
Oh, Im firing Borderlands up again TODAY, so feel free to send me an Invite to play online anytime. I planned on starting last night but ended up staying up way too late playin Anarchy: Rush Hour.

I think Killzone 2 is over-rated.
Same feeling I have when I owned Halo 3 on my 360.
Just over-rated.

Fallout 3....now that is amazing. lol sorry,I love this game.

@sean... I'm not starting xbox trashing here, but I did feel the same for Halo 3. Halo 2 was Incredible, Reach looks to be the next promising Halo title. Rumor is that Bungies next big game will see a release on PS3.

Don't get me wrong,I like Halo to an extent,however its not exactly the best game in the world.
Its like Call of Duty,I get the same feeling with Halo as I do with Call of Duty.

I like the 360 to some degree but I sold mine due to the fact that the games were just boring as sin.
Also I cannot afford XBL or any accessories so really,it wasn't worth it. lol

The PS3 has me covered for so much things,the console itself WAS over-priced but has a very good value right now.

I just got rid of my 360 too. I understand where u are coming from. I couldn't keep up with 2 systems. Portal 2 is suppose to come to the PS3. I think that we will see far less 3rd party exclusives from here out.

I am really liking MW2 at the moment. Its my first proper foray into online FPS (I also have UT3 and resistance 2) but not played those much. The spec ops missions are brutal IMO.

@odd69 I have just bought KZ2 for a measly £7.99 and the controls suck. The aiming is really sluggish and not particularly accurate... or is that just me

Im fully into Borderlands finally, and I honestly dont know if Ive ever played a game that is so incredibly hard to stop playing. It a lot like Fallout 3 but in some ways better, mainly as it runs as smooth as MW2 and controls are just as tight. The addiction to get new guns is literally overwhelming. I tried out some online but jumped into a friends match that was like 15 levels over me and I couldnt do anything but hide, but I did scavenge items and got a TON of money. Having a blast with this one, another incredible game.

In case anyone previously missed it, I did get a PS3 and here's my PSN, although I'm not gonna be online much this month: "ObjectionBlaster"

Am I the only one that liked Killzone 2? I bought it for $30 a few months after it came out and I completely agree that it was over hyped but I still had fun with it. You do have to get used to the controls if you're more used to Modern Warfare but I didn't have any trouble. The guns have major recoil so you have to shoot in short bursts. I totally understand it's not for everyone though. It's feels a lot more sluggish than MW but I found MW to be too frantic. Guess I'll be the only one here looking forward to Killzone 3 (though I still won't be paying full price on release day).

The shooter I really want to play is Battlefield BC2. I got addicted to Battlefield 1943 so I have a feeling I'm really gonna like BC2.

Concerning Borderlands, When you get high enough in level, I'm going to hook you up with some guns. But not just any guns, Orange colored guns. The loot in this game goes by color. Orange being the rarest to find, Purple (very good), Blue (good),Green(decent), and then White(not the best)

I have over 30 rare guns so im swimming in rare hard to get weapons!!!

I only have 75 Euro left and after I spend it,I won't be getting anymore money until...August UNLESS I'm actually successful at my job interview in the incoming weeks.

@silentj.... yeah I'm done with killzone myself, it just wasn't my thing.

@odd... heck yeah man, I actually do have some lower level special weapons. and got to level 20 last night I will start back at it tomorrow, I'm loving it so far.

@sean.... I would wait to see if goes half off before Vegas release.

I guess I'll try finish Fallout 3 100% and get all trophies.

I need some new games with this money. lol

There are some great PSN games out there, just throwing that out there.
