You definitely did some updates which worked fine - in the last one you probably have mixed up some entrys. Maybe check again if you really meant to enter that name on that number.
Well, now you got me confused. I updated 17 and 25, or at least that's what I intended to do. I can't check the answers I gave already, can I?
Maybe I just repost all of them to be sure.
Maybe it would be better to swap forums, if this one is fairly dead. But I belong here. Maybe the forum category isn't the best for a quiz? Who doesn't love quizzes? There should be more people playing!
We are now at the halfway point of our walk in the park, and with over fifty participants (three from here) it appears you are enjoying this round. It might also be the difficulty, which apparently is a bit on the lower side for the first quiz of the year... you'll need more than 20 correct answers to get a top 10 position.
Some clues I will still give you - good luck and maybe they'll help you recognise more.
1) Number 21 and 25 show browser games. 2) Two years ago I took screenshot 23 myself on my Nintendo Switch. 3) Title #7 is the oldest of this round by far - a classic from the 1990s. 4) The games 3 and 19 are younger and were released in the 2000s. 5) But to my great surprise when I looked it up - ALL other games are from the past decade!
Our walk is almost over, you only have this weekend left! In total there are seventyeight people now, and four from this community. This is actually not okay, haven't you heard we're supposed to avoid big groups now.
Here are the last clues, afterwards go get those answers.
1) Game six is not "the long dark". 2) But of course, title 13 is "Tetris". What else! 3) However game 14 is not "Inside". 4) Number 16 is not "Alan Wake". 5) And at last, Game 23 is not "Breath of the Wild".
Everybody back at home, washed your hands and ready for the Corona lockdown? Great! We were exactly one hundred people (wow!), and five from here. Given the amount of participants I guess you must have liked this round with slower and less action heavy games.
But some people clearly didn't get the theme of this month... who puts scary stuff like "outlast" or "five nights at Freddies" in a quiz about mainly walking simulators?
Before we dive into the answers, to this first round of the year I want to welcome three new communities:

So then, a winners ceremony: Congratulations to Earthpainting, fl0rian, Hamlet Machine, Splunge, Lafazar, J.R. and residentgrigo... you all have FULL POINTS and won this round!
Also kudos to Kong, Gerhard S & Qwark, together you form the Top 10.
Be it almost the entire racing game genre, car based mini games, shootouts on wheels or just background decoration - cars are everywhere in our video game entertainment. This quiz round is all about recognising games throughout decades, genres and platforms... all just by the exterior of some car. Think you can do that?
If you take a closer look at these screen fragments, you might notice there's none of the famous racing simulations around. That's because modern realistic racing games like Forza, Gran Turismo or Driveclub do unfortunately look a bit similar. Instead of those you'll get a mix of genres featuring lots of colourful cars in many different graphics styles.
Ignition, check mirrors, off we go - we are past the half time for this round. I'd like to post some clues for all of you, so the 33 participants (two from here) might get joined by more.
The car quiz is much tougher than the previous round... does the following list help?
1) Just twelve titles are racing games - barely half! 2) Several games are based on licenses from movies, comics or music: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 15, 25. 3) Number 12 is a multiplatform racing game from the last year. 4) Five screenshots show arcade versions. 5) Title 11 is an open world game.
Thanks for the hints. The only one left I have not submitted anything for is #17.
How precise do the game titles need to be named? Last month there was Layton, and only "Professor Layton" was needed as the answer albeit there being many entries in the series.
I'm curious because of the license games that have seen various releases in decades.

I am generally lenient with franchises and exact titles, the Layton example would apply to other gaming series too. There's still plenty of difficult titles this round, but at least about the licensed games you don't have to worry about nailing some exact console release version.
EDIT: The exception this round is number 11 - just naming the overall franchise is not enough, there's just too much variety, especially as there has been a pretty good clue on that title already.
Okay guys, watch out: please take the next exit off the highway, as this round is about to end soon! So far a convoy of 55 players has formed (two from here), but nobody managed to guess every game correctly - and just seven participants made it to twenty or more points.
So here is the final set of clues, good luck to all of you:
1) Just on Nintendo consoles? That's right for the 6, 7, 14 and 15. 2) The numbers 13, 19 and 23 show screenshots of games for the Commodore Amiga. 3) Game 16 and 21 make you build a vehicle from many single parts. 4) One of the games in the last row is a RPG. 5) Number 17 is a side scrolling shoot em up.
With the help of the clues I think I got them all now (was missing 17 before), but to be honest, I'd wish there'd be no hints. Some of the games I had to dig deep to find before are suddenly easy to search for with the help. I think'll wait for the second round of clues next time...
Still, it's great fun. Thank you, Mr_Horizon!
You are not the only one with that thought. But the hints are actually a way to push the thread back up. Especially in crowded boards (hello resetera...) I find my quiz posts quickly swallowed by other content.
But I also feel like I make it too easy, this year the list of "full points" candidates has grown quite a bit. :/ So starting next month there will be some limits to the hints (which I will explain then).
April is over, all cars are back in their garage - now we count some points! We had 93 participants and two from this community. However... THIRTEEN people have full score?? That's a lot, and I wonder if I have been to generous with my hints this year. :/ So starting next round I will put some rules on myself regarding to that:
never more than four clues in one post
less specific, more general
no clues at all for the last row of the quiz
I want the masterminds among you to struggle a bit if you're really after those 25 points!

Everybody loves a classic - but also if it means exclusively MS-DOS games from the 80s and 90s?? For some those will be sweet memories of their childhood or youth, and for console users or those born after these games were released... well they're classics regardless.
The first instalment of the "DOS classics" was the most successful quiz round of all time - so of course you're getting a part two. The March round was very new, this one is very retro... I am sure everybody appreciates a good balance.
