Xbox games coming to Windows 7 phones - kinda like how the PS3 and PSP can share minis back and forth.

Thoughts?

Interesting....
The handheld market is a huge pie just waiting to be taken advantage of. Have to see where this leads.

I was at the presentation, and honestly, the way everything integrates together with Windows 7, the Phone, and the Xbox, is amazing, and so convenient.

I will honeslty consider switching from the iPhone, and buying an Xbox, for all of this back end functionality.

Cell phone games aren't real games.

Wait, they're actually XBLA games? Any XBLA game can be played? I'm confused.

imo this sounds like the only good feature of Windows 7 phones

They say 2010, so I'm impressed they have all this ready right now. I haven't played the Xbox Live games, but they seem like the direction I enjoy.

Certain XBLA games can be played, like how certain Playstation Minis (but not all) can be played on the PS3. It's up to the developers to program in the compatibility.

There should be more firm announcements made around this in August.

Ah, that's neat then. Spelunky would be cool on the go, whenever that comes out. Not that I personally care for fancy phones.

By the way, totally off topic, but in the absence of a basic PM system and knowing you're checking this thread, if you still play Chocobo's Dungeon, take a peek at your old friend code thread when you get a chance, if you want to play.

@ waltz... another great article man.

I know for me I'm not leaving my phone carrier. It does sound cool but its limited to a phone carrier. If my carrier picks up the windows 7 phone i will be interested. I just don't consider this handheld gaming like the ds/psp. Games drain phones batteries quick and then you don't have phone access. Its a major issue for me.

That's a good point - I will be interested to see if the Windows 7 Phone OS is better on the battery than some of the others out there.

@Adam - Good stuff! I'm in the process of moving house now, and setting up a new Internet. Once I do I'm definately up for some games.

Still need to get around to finishing off my deck... have most of the cards, but the last few are eluding me.

Now THIS is awesome. Instead of making us buy all new games, I can just take my favorite XBLA games on the go? Pretty freakin' cool if you ask me. I'll be keeping my eye on this new Windows 7 phone for sure.

ANOTHER PHONE?!

You gotta be kidding the Rat. Who would fall for this trick that's clearly rigged to decrease 3DS sales? Not the Rat, I say!
