So much for Metal Gear 4 being the last one.
Looks cool, though. This is probably the only PS exclusive I actually enjoy.

It's not exclusive, it's coming to Xbox as well.

I just found that out actually after I Googled it. There is literally no reason to own a PS3 besides this series IMO, so now my PS3 is officially only a media player since it's not exclusive.

This generation has been quite something. Eight years and still getting such epic games as Bioshock Infinite, GTA V and now a new Metal Gear Solid.

So the whole Phantom Pain thing is obvious but is Ground Zeroes no longer a separate game either? Were they both just announced separately to trick people for some reason?

Yes, same game.

The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes is the same game renamed ''Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain''. Some here didn't get it...

Wii U online games:
Injustice Gods Among Us, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razors Edge, Assassin's Creed III, Tekken Tag Team Tournament 2 Wii U Edition and Trine 2: Directors Cut
3DS Online games:
Kid Icarus: Uprising

I see that Kojima's trolling was successful. This game looks effing awesome, by the way.

You know, I should really get into the series more. Loved MGS3.

What a terrible way to get into such a fantastic series.

I guess you guys are right. Phantom Pain is Ground Zeroes. Righteous trolling Kojima.

I respectfully disagree.

MGS3 is a fine game, and a splendid introduction IMO.

The really painful introduction is MGS2, as it features more Raiden and Snake (we're assuming this is the first FMA you play with no prior knowledge of the characters.)

He's referring to the fact he played the 3DS version of MGS3.

doesnt even matter with what game you start the series. you wont be able to understand the story anyway xD at least not 100%. only if your name is hideo kojima

I liked all the MG games I played except the NES ones. I actually heard the GBC one was pretty good, though.
The only ones I haven't beaten were 2 on PS2 and I think the GBC one was called Gaiden.

You're both wrong (yes the 3DS is version is terrible). Snake Eater (just like Guns of the Patriots) is quite possibly the worst installment to start off with.

There's a reason Metal Gear Solid 1 has the number one in it. Starting Snake Eater and venturing forward would confuse even Ghandi. It's a prequel with character development that foreshadows its sequels. One thing you would know nothing of.

Plus, it's practically the most useless installment. lol

gbc one was called ghost of babel i think.
mgs2 was a great game. i can understand why people were disappointed in raiden though

Starting with MGS3 is literally like Star Wars with Phatom Menace (versus starting with A New Hope) or getting into LOTR starting from the Hobbit.
The major difference here is quality (SWPM<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<MGS3<<<<Hobbit IMO).

I know it's not the best counter-argument ever, but it serves its purpose.

Starting with 5 would kill you like Cate Blanchett in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull because the knowledge would be too much.

Untitled
and because it would be awesome

No, it's like starting with Star Wars Episode III going to 1, to the animated series, 2, 4, 5 and then 6.

Just for you.
