Because its virtually impossible to play games and come onto the internet to discuss /s. I just start self facepalming whenever i come across threads like these.

Fun means different things to different people - for me the most fun comes when at the beginning I can barely do anything in the game. (The most fun bit is the time when I first start getting to grips with it up until when I get it). I also like games made with the full amount of resources and effort put in.

I wouldn't want all games to be like that though because then people who don't want that would be in the same position I am.

The internet is an open forum and people by nature tend to focus on the negative. You don't see many threads about why a certain game is enjoyable or whatnot (and even when you do that degenerates into an argument), but people make tons of threads and comments on the negatives.

That being said...I can't wait for Hyrule warriors! Preordered it in two places to get more dlc (I'll be returning the amazon copy).

We see how fun games can be all the time on here:
Threads about what a failure the WiiU is, how doomed Nintendo is, what would be needed to make it all peachy, that games without online shenanigans suck, discussions about framerates and resolutions, how games would be so much better with better graphics yadda yadda.

For many people, perception has shifted from gameplay to a games technical aspects. Its cant be fun if its not up to the latest technical standards.Others pay more attention to the general opinion of a game. If its universally hated on, they wont pick it up and give it a try. And if it is beloved, its their new most favourite game of all time.

I can only speak for myself, and i dont give a wet goombas shoe about how a game looks, what resolution of FPS count it has etc. If its fun, its fun.
As long as it isnt utterly broken i couldnt care less about its technical aspects, and for me, that way more fun.
Instead of analysing when and how often Hyrule Warriors looses FPS, instead of standing still to notice muddy textures on the ground i simply play the game and have a blast doing so.

Give it a shot, try to look past these things, immerse yourself in a game and just see how much fun you can have that way.
