Signed up for the beta today! I do so hope my laptop can run it... can't wait to try it out.

Anyone else keen to give this a go?

I dont have the time for another MMO right now. I am currently playing World of Warcraft and I am waiting for the Cataclysm expansion to come out.

@WaltzElf: Laptop? Boy, are YOU going to be disappointed! I have a friend with a relatively high-end desktop who's complaining that he can't run the game. He called FFXIV the Crysis of MMO's. I'd advise waiting for the PS3 version.

Machu (I think) turned me on to a pretty neat site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

It tests your computer to see if it's capable of playing any of the games it has in it's database. FF XIV is one of the choices too.

Everything I've read about FFXIV from the testers has shown it to be a big disappointment. I was hoping for a good new MMO I could sink my teeth into, but currently it looks like yet another I'll be passing on.
