Square Enix Ltd [http://www.square-enix.com/eu/en ]., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX(R) interactive entertainment products in Europe and across PAL territories, today announces that two brands from different realms: fashion and video gaming, have come together in the latest issue of Arena Homme+ where characters from the recent game FINAL FANTASY(R) XIII-2 showcase Prada's 2012 Spring/Summer men's collection as part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of the FINAL FANTASY series.
In the latest issue of Arena Homme+ which goes on sale on Thursday 12th April, a cast of characters from FINAL FANTASY XIII-2 including Lightning, Noel, Snow, Sazh and Hope are styled for action as they step out of their usual outfits and into Prada.
"Our Spring issue focuses on a world of direction and escapism, and having a visually stunning videogame franchise such as FINAL FANTASY work alongside us and a leading fashion brand like Prada to create something so unique is incredible," said Max Pearmain, Editor of Arena Homme+. "I've always been interested by the power of videogames and their place in society, and the amount of work that's gone into this project blows my mind. We're incredibly pleased with the result."
Awes man this solo good. Hope and says are just ozzing swagger from the heavens. This has me excited for overuse as the clothing destine ate being done by the Japanese design house roen. I'm hopping od the next game is more modern again they go for this look.
So has square lost it or do the stylings need more chains and suppers.
Also does any of euro-nlife read arena Holmes?

I am not sure what's more pathetic, using Final Fantasy to sell clothing or that it will work.
But hasn't final fantasy and square enix had a focus on design since nomura took over. Look at the last few mainline games, the world ends with you, and type zero.

That makes how stupid it looks (except for the first guy I guess) even worse than. Because it looks incredibly stupid. Like dancing Han Solo stupid.
The World Ends With You is one of the rare JRPGs that honestly looks cool, and even that's not always true. There is no logic in using most other japanese RPG series to promote clothing, especially Final Fantasy, the most unintentionally goofy looking series around. The idea of these ads I would think is to make it look cool, this is the polar opposite of cool. It would be like if they used the Lorax to advertise everything under the sun, including vehicles. ...that would be pretty awful.
Its not uncommon for clothing brands to collaborate with other meida brands. Lastxyear we had comment des garcone have Beatles and mickey mouse clothing. And streetwwar brand stussy teamed up with marvel.

Holy sh*t. Was there a contest in the fashion world to come off as the most pretentious douche? Because if so whomever came up with this is the clear winner.
"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion."

Such a predictable response from you. You're losing your edge, dude.
This actually makes a whole lot of sense. In the modern world of fashion the prevailing theory is that a model needs to be a mannequin, so they use makeup and Photoshop to make the models look as plastic as possible.
Meanwhile, the Final Fantasy XIII-2 characters are already mannequin-like, so dressing them up with real world fashion isn't that big of a deal.

...That's actually a really good point. It still looks incredibly stupid but as I said, it will work. Final Fantasy is still huge.
That looks...awesome! They should do this with more games. It probably wouldn't work with JRPGs with a very anime look to them but I could see it working with the cast of the three first party Wii JRPGs (Xenoblade chronicles, The last story and Pandora's tower). Although it doesn't just have to be JRPG characters, I could see it working with NMH characters. I don't think they should've included Lightning though as it could confuse the men looking through it, seeing a female character as a model in them men's section.

1. Happpens all the time in lookbooks and very androgynous men have modeled for women runway and looobooks. 2. A womanxwearing girls clothes is either going to be crazy sexy or ozzing coolness. 3.lightning is already dat chick. Anymore swag and the universe explodes in mass effect rbg style.

I wish Snow could have gotten some new clothes too. Something extra-douche-y looking. And then Lightning could have punched him in his stupid douche-y shirt.
Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Wait for April 12th.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
