Now, i first want to start off by saying that I highly doubt that Sega will ever release a new game console. however this video does bring up some interesting evidence to say the least. This is all speculation, but i want to hear what other people would think if Sega did release a new console. Please don't start arguing over if they will or if they won't.

As much as I liked Sega back in the 16 bit era afterwards their systems really didnt do it for me. I do have a Dreamcast but I only have a few select games on it like Soul Caliber for one. Truthfully I think they are just better off making games rather than consoles and games.

With as much butt as SEGA has been kicking the last few years as a software developer/publisher, I seriously hope that they never try to get back into the console market!

For every Bayonetta they publish or Sonic Colors they develop, they churn out two awful Marvel movie tie-in games to keep balance in the universe, lol.
The market is already fully saturated, and the whole industry is on uncertain footing going into the future right now. If Sega were to try and push in to the hardware market with their currently tiny slice of brand loyalty from old, nostalgic gamers and with Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, Apple, and other mobile device companies (not to mention the PC platform with the likes of Steam and indie development being more popular than ever) already occupying the space and vying for market share, how could it be anything but a ridiculous disaster?

Sega lacks the resources to make games properly right now. How can anyone expect the millions and millions it would take to establish a new hardware play again?
