For some reason I'm reminded of Eversion. Sadly, I doubt this game will take quite as awesome a turn...(unless James ends up legit involved with the project in some capacity beyond allowing it to exist and promoting it)

He's not a game designer. Him having input doesn't necessarily make it good. Yes, he can criticise obvious faults in old games and be funny about it - but that doesn't mean he'll be able to design a good game.

Well duh, but James' humor could make an otherwise meh game fun (as an example).
Which is fitting with mentioning Eversion, a very meh platformer only really good for the one thing it is known for.

with him involved in an actual game, i'd be afraid that there are parts where they intentionally made it horrible, lol. stuff where it's glitchy on purpose, rooms you enter on accident where you can't go anywhere and just sit there and die, super-cheap bosses... sounds kinda hilarious to me tbh :3
