Topic: Speedrunning weekly contest?

Hi all!

I enjoy playing many of the old Nintendo games (Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong Country, the Legend of Zelda, etc), and I also like speedrunning (I'm not very good at that, but I find it fun anyway). I think it would be fun to have like a continuous contest, where we speedrun one of these games each week, so one can practice on speedrunning it during the week, and then have a contest in it at the end of the week, and then next week we speedrun another game, and so on.

What I wonder is if anyone knows if such a community exists that I can join (then please tell me ^^), or if any of you are interested in something like this, so we can try to start one.

I'd be keen to join in! I think Weekly might be a hard stretch with personal commitments though.

That sounds like fun, but I suck at speedrunning and I wouldn’t have the time to do so. However, speedrunners amaze me and it’d be fun to watch this thread! Can’t wait to see what happens.

I would love that! I am definitely in! We could also do smaller stuff: individual levels, worlds, sections, etc.
