I'm tired of not hunting. D:

EDIT: Sigh I'll be on at 6:30 Curt. This game has kind of lost meaning playing with randoms. I'm only really wanting to play with you, BEN, or any friends. PLEASE other people on NL! buy his game so i can play with you! or if you already own it, mee up with me online some time. Whenever anyone other than curt is on from here, i can't be. Okay, so the first time I attempt SBing Ala (with randoms), everything seems to be going great. It's all great, no one has died, and it seemed to be falling asleep pretty fast. All was great. But then, I noticed it kept para, though none of us had para weapons. I thought something was fishy, then I noticed one guy throwing something. It turned out he was a hacker, and was throwing para/sleep knifes like crazy >.< I confronted him about it and he was proud about it, said he just started this week

Anyway, I recorded the fight, so I'll post a link when it uploads :/

Edit: Nvm, the DVDs all jacked up. I wonder if he hacked that too

Hey guys! I just got this game and am really liking it so far! I just beat the mission to kill the Great Jaggi. That shiz was hard man! SO anyway, since I'm kind of new to the game, somebody wanna explain online multi-player to me? Like do people online go on missions in the single player or are there separate missions just for online? Also, I'd love to play online with some of you as long as you don't mind my slight newb-ness

Sure. Basically, there are 4 servers that you can enter based on what your goals are and your Hunter Rank (HR). There is open where people of all ranks can enter and quest together but you are more likely to get a variety of monsters so if you are looking for a specific armor, that isn't the place. For people HR 0-30, you can go to the rookie servers and do quests without spoiling much of the later game play. It is a good server if you are brave since the people there are not very experienced (at the most part). The third server is the expert server which is for people HR 31 up and is for the particular people who have some amount of skill. It is for grinding on varietys of monsters but for the most part, you and everyone else in there will know what they are doing. The last and most likely the best server is the recruiting server where you get to grind on 1 monster for as long as you like and when you are done, jusst find a new room for the next monster you are looking for. There are 3 things you can find: Low, None, and High. I bet that you figure out what those mean based on the other 3 servers.

Your HR determines what quests you can do and most likely how skilled you are. At particular HRs, you get urgent quests if you have done all of the key quests which can be found here: http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/MH3:_Online_Quests

I can understand that. It is really complicated until you are online more but until then, you may still have some trouble but you'll get in to things.
