Hi all. I just a have a question. Has anyone been able to make purple tulips? I'm not looking to buy any off of anyone, but I wanted to know what is the best combination of tulips to make them? I heard that red and orange tulips work, and red and red tulips. I have both red and orange tulips put together right now but nothing has happened yet and it's been over a week since I've planted them. I had red and red tulips as well but all I get are black tulips. I tried to see if there was any other combination of tulips I could try, but I found nothing. If anyone has made the purple tulip hybrid, please let me know how you did it. Thanks.

According to this webpage I found you can make purple tulips with orange tulips and orange tulips.
